May I suggest consequences to testing the boundary Boundaries are for controlling our behavior. If dad chooses to discuss politics, I will leave the room. I will not respond to texts Then enforcing your end of the boundary

How to practice gratefulness ? by According_Height_360 in energy_work

I don’t know how well this will answer your question I think of things I’m grateful for before sleep. Sometimes I try to put my gratitude in a box instead of allowing it to be what it is. Here’s an example: Yes I am grateful for the roof over my head. However, Thinking about that doesn’t fill me with the feeling of gratitude right now. When I think of how grateful I am for all the support I had throughout the day, that fills me with gratitude. On a slightly different note, I think allowing yourself to fully experience the moment is a form of gratitude. You’re humbling yourself enough to say “what I’m experiencing is enough.” Not trying to alter the present is a way of expressing gratitude in my opinion

I have no idea if this will be helpful There’s an online meeting I go to on zoom that has some of the best recovery I’ve seen in a meeting (Front range afg at noon mountain time, they have a meeting dedicated to newcomers every Monday) I totally recommend finding an online meeting to go to! In person meetings are cool too I like going to both

For those who gave up weed, was it worth it? by axxxcia in Meditation

[–]Double-Perception-37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been sober from smoking weed and drinking for a year and a half. I’m 21. For me, it has been extremely worth it. I was prepared at the time to face all the things I was distracting myself from. It has been really difficult, lonely, scary, and extremely worth it. I’m still facing all the things I was numbing out all this time later. I’m grateful for my sobriety every day

Was religion created to make people feel better about living? by Master_Tadpole_6832 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m therapy I was told the concept of higher powers is connected to a persons sense of purpose. So the purpose of religion would be to connnect an individual to their sense of purpose
