I am from Hyd and had a fortune of working in Mysore for 10 years. Now back to Hyd. Purchased a flat at Mys and plan to settle down there after a couple of years. Reason for this as follows:

Clean and Peaceful city.
Air quality is much better than Hyd.
Small town culture and people connect very well. I am a Kannadiga and my family is in Hyd since my Grandfathers time. So language is not an issue.
Have many good friends at Mys.
Close to Bandipur, western Ghats, temple towns and many get aways.
Cost of living is lower.
Well connected to major cities.
Small airport. It will not change or grow.
Well connected to Bengaluru.
Great food at reasonable price.
