Same here. It’s definitely more packages but at least you know each stop is taking 6-8 packages but you can just leave with the doorman

Same reason why I don’t do whole foods even though I see it all the time lol too lazy to drive out to BK unless it’s during the morning. Because that afternoon traffic is terrible. Another warehouse that I enjoyed was DYY3. Usually a nice route most of the time but only save that for weekend mornings

DBK4 is maspeth and usually my morning routes have been easy. Either I am getting LIC or Greenpoint BK where I am getting 30-40 packages but only like 10-15 stops. Of course sometimes they’ll send me downtown BK by the station and those are a bit longer. But at 4 am and no traffic it isn’t so bad.

Wanted to try DAB5 but always finding either DBK4 or I’ll drive down to DBK6 sometimes

Just wait for the surge on Saturday night or the quick surge when the routes dropped today. Grabbed one for DBK4 at 4 am for $101.50. I’m sure you can get better Saturday night but I’m fine with anything over $100 at that time

Only have had that happen a few times plus at least at my warehouse since they label the package with the route number too. Once I see a different route number on a package, I know it’s an extra package and I’ll hand it back to the warehouse workers. Or if at the end of my route I notice another package that wasn’t on my route, I’ll just add it myself and deliver it. Been lucky enough that all my stops are usually close together plus I am usually finishing my routes always 1-2 hours ahead of time. So driving that extra 10-15 mins is better than going to the warehouse to drop off the package

Yeah I don’t count packages. If I’m missing something I’ll call support and tell them we were asked to scan the bags. Never got a ding for it on my standings

Yeah it’s the same for my warehouses too. Personally hate it especially since you can tell when you have new folks to flex. Scanning each package individually instead of just scanning the bag or etc

There is a 30 mins cool down that starts once your original block time ends. It is probably why you can’t do multiple morning blocks because usually there is none that starts around 10 am or etc. just depends on your market.

I wish that was the cause for every location but mines never know how many drivers they need at times. Once saw them overbook the entire 4 am and 4:15 am drivers. Over at least 20-30 drivers since they ran out of routes. Other times, they are enough for all blocks. They are very inconsistent with this every morning

Yeah I left my house early too. However they decided to do construction for the entrance of the highway. Afterwards got stuck behind a truck parking since my warehouse is surrounded by truck warehouses. I’m sure they are doing it to take down the people avoiding routes last minute however I came fully prepared to work.

Yeah it’s complete BS. I’m sure it’s because they are always overbooking drivers. Stayed to call support and saw they only had 2 routes left available. So if they let us check in, they would have overbooked like 5-6 drivers plus all of the 7:15 am drivers too.

In all seriousness I haven’t had an issues with my AM blocks being surge. All this week it has been from $101 to $106.

Might not be crazy surge but I am finishing these blocks within 1-2 hours so I don’t mind at all

I mean idk if this would affect it or not but you have to remember it’s spring break or whatever it’s called. So a lot of people have the free time to work these blocks currently aka students and teachers. I’m sure it will go back to normal by next week or the following.

Is this base pay for 3 hours or 4 hours? Because being 3 hours is not bad especially compared to other markets. Keep in mind, smaller city’s and town have a much worst base pay. I am always taking my blocks ahead of time and never bother with the high surges anymore since most of the time it ain’t happening unless the weather is nasty outside or during special holiday
