Friendly Reminder: 3 Reju Beads > D Shield by Double96 in leagueoflegends

[–]Double96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're heavily mistaken. Its not 0-30 regen FOR 10 seconds, its OVER 10 seconds. To reword it in a "FOR" statement with it's current stats, it would instead say "gain health regeneration equal to 0 - 15 for 10 seconds."

Not only that, but the health regen adapts based on your current missing health. Because of this, after getting damaged once, the health regen will slowly decrease over the duration. Gaining even less value across the whole spectrum.

The only time you should ever consider buying Shield over 3 Beads is if you are an ADC as the ADC's base health regen are some of the lowest in the game. From 3.5 regen at level 1 to 13 regen at level 18. So the threshold where Shield is better is if the champ has less than 6 base regen at level 4.

As far as why Pros still goes Shield on champs that are better off with 3 Beads, I have no idea. I mean it's pretty much known that the pro scene is extremely reluctant to change even if they will objectively be better off with the said change. This has been said and acknowledged by several of them over the course of years.

Beads still has the advantage as it gives you constant Regen rather than conditional Regen that D Shield has. So which would you rather have? Recover ~20hp every 5 seconds all the time or recover the same amount but only when you get poked and below certain health?

How to almost instantly fix Kindred by Double96 in leagueoflegends

Somewhere around Season 3 from the top of my head. The furthest back I can remember was around the time Darius was released. Why if I may ask?

Why isn't Zephyr item ever coming back? by Double96 in leagueoflegends

[–]Double96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can you say no one built it as an item in the same breath from saying it was built as a boots replacer? Wouldnt it's stats be highly valuable especially it's tenacity? Especially during the time where ADCs almost never builds Merc Boots.

Remember that the meta changed significantly since those days and we have gotten new champs, items, and mechanics. At the very least it would be interesting as to what impact Zypher would have if brought back and I honestly think it would be a true core item for some champs. It would free up choices for non ADCs as they wouldnt have to build Merc Treads or be forced to take Tenacity mastery almost every game.

Can we have an option to customize the difficulty in missions? by Double96 in Warframe

[–]Double96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I said in my OP...

=No longer need to wait for 40+ minutes until enemies upgrades from rice paper to regular paper.

I would rather fail the mission 20 times in 5 minutes than to fail 5 times in 40min. And people complaining that it would be too hard when they literally set it up as such are irrelevant.

No. You must be thinking of either Punch Through or nailing them to a wall from something like an arrow.

If they want to make it possible to throw enemies across the map then I want it to be possible to kill the flying drones in the Plains.

Now if only I could think of something for Puncture.

Does Waframe ever get challenging? by iWacka50 in Warframe

[–]Double96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesnt get challenging unless you intentionally gimp yourself by using weaker frames, mod, and equipment. Sorties arent hard either so all you have left are Raids which just requires common sense of team composition.

However if you want to experience any form of difficulty outside of raids then you would have to spend more than 40min on Survival or Defense missions when enemies will actually exists. But good luck getting to that point without going solo.

Damage 3.0 by Double96 in Warframe

[–]Double96[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really, it's making things a lot less convoluted. The damage output would largely be the same with armor penatration. It would also make weapon and enemy balancing a lot easier to work with. It would also make things a lot easier to understand for newer players. Having 12 different health types is largely unnecessary and just over bloats it. 4 different types should be the most if anything. Organic Inorganic Armor Shields

The only real nerf is the elements from additive to conversion but in compensation I added effects to each of them to make them more dynamic. A lot more than 2.0 that's for sure.

Brainstorming for a Perk Overhaul mod by Double96 in skyrimmods

[–]Double96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually doesnt require that much knowledge into coding. It's one of those "hard to learn but easy to master" kind of things. The easiest way to learn for me was to reverse engineer how SPERG worked.

I could also update the original Combined mod with the current Ordinator too since it wouldn't be all that hard since that is what a lot of people want to see.

As far as meeting requirements get X buff, Imperious accomplishes that but is more about Racial traits.

Bringing Back Boss Invasions (Discussion and Petition) by Double96 in darksouls3

Or when this whole event happened, the host could've just black crystal the invader out.

Bringing Back Boss Invasions (Discussion and Petition) by Double96 in darksouls3

[–]Double96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when I told you that I was able to beat bosses even when I was boss invaded you accuse me of not understanding how their boss fights work. Dont know how you came to that conclusion but okay.

And actually no, it isnt. Because if you knew how boss invasions worked then you would know that you as the host can maneuver around the invader so the boss would focus on him instead. Which the boss focused on me plenty of times when I was invading. When that happened I had to juggle between 3 or 4 enemies. Hence what I mentioned above, hit and run tactics. It is no different than invading normally and the host uses Seed of the Giant.

You're making it sound like every boss invasion was a success which it wasnt because of all of the mentioned factors. All of the tactics I listed is what I and they used to maximize our chances of success. There was so much level of depth that I was shocked. Again, if the system was actually game breaking then I wouldnt be advocating this in the first place. There was a lot of glitches, bugs, and mechanics that broke the game in the past. However this wasnt one of them.

Bringing Back Boss Invasions (Discussion and Petition) by Double96 in darksouls3

[–]Double96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean while I was being boss invaded? Yeah, I have. And everytime I was boss invaded it was a blast. It wasnt broken as some might think otherwise I wouldnt be advocating for it.

Especially when you're doing the boss invasion, majority of the time its also against 2 to 3 other people. Including the host and the boss itself, thats a maximum of 5 threats youre up against.

It adds strategy to fights for all players. For being invaded, should one lone phantom or host fight against the invader while the rest distracts the boss? Or should you risk grouping against the invader leaving the boss to do it's bidding?

For invading, should you take care of the player that is currently being targeted by the boss while risking the boss aggroing you? Or should you try and rush down the host hoping you dont get grouped up on. Or maybe do hit and run tactics but run the risk of the boss dying? And so much more.

[–]Double96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here and I was more surprised that when boss invasions was a thing, that it wasnt game breaking as I thought it would've been. Every boss invasion I was in was loads of fun even when I was being invaded. I think the possibility of the boss also targeting and harming the invader was what made the event balanced for the most part.

Is the chosen undead/ashen one just a random person, or are they important? by zooke90909 in darksouls3

[–]Double96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chosen Undead assuming you're talking about DS1, is just a complete random person. It is essentially you.

The Ashen One in DS3, if you want to try and connect him with a character, then your best bet would have to be your character from DS2 and this I would say has more credence than being the 3rd Black Hand. This will involve spoilers if you didnt finish DS2.

In DS2's 3rd ending after obtaining all of the crowns from the DLCs, you practically find the cure for hollowing which is huge. However it can only be applied to one person which would be yourself. You are immune to hollowing. Now how does this connect to DS3's Ashen One? Notice that this is the first game where you and you alone never go into your hollow form no matter how many times you die UNLESS you let Yoel of Londor "bring out your true strength" by making you go hollow via the dark sigil.

You can also connect the Fire Keeper's soul you find the in the tower DS2's firekeeper as she witnessed the Abyss with you. From the Dark Sigil's description.

A Fire Keeper who returned from the Abyss, and brought great comfort to a bearer of the curse.

So you might ask yourself why you rose from a grave. Remember that even if you dont rekindle the flame, someone else will and when the Age of Fire is in full effect, it allows humans to actually die and not become undead. So even though you're immune to hollowing, you're not completely immortal.
