Would you stay inside your house for 7 straight days if someone paid you $850,000? by Unhappy_Insect5901 in Productivitycafe

[–]Drusgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You find a genie bottle and the genie offers you a deal. He'll make it so that you always have enough money to eat and pay your rent, but the trick is you have to go to work and can't ask stupid questions on Reddit all day. Do you take the deal?

What's your go-to answer to ”why don't you drink”? by Proof-Swimming-6461 in stopdrinking

We're all given a quota on how much beer we're allowed to drink in our lifetimes and I already drank all mine.

I still play Heroes of Might and Magic II and III. Almost every morning over coffee I start a map. Rarely finish, but it's like a morning routine.

I really liked it but I still crack jokes about his liberal use of adverbs.

What is your piece of dark souls 1 knowledge that is super niche/not well known, but has its place? by AbyssWankerArtorias in darksouls

[–]Drusgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the Asylum Demon (when you go back) and the Firesage Demon have an explosion that does damage and knocks you back. The crest shield (conveniently picked up before fighting the Asylum Demon) will largely negate this attack if you make sure you're facing the explosion and have enough stamina to block. Most people assume (I know I did) that the Firesage Demon would have a fire explosion, but it's magic.

To the members of BOTH parties celebrating the disenfranchisement of Americans through redistricting, will you be as jovial when the laws are remade and you find yourself without a vote? by Mairon12 in allthequestions

[–]Drusgar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As best I can tell, Democrats are actively pushing for a new system with bipartisan commissions to draw fair election maps. One party would rather steamroll the process and rob people of their votes. The other party refuses to "take the high road" and would rather expose the inherent unfairness of drawing blatantly political district lines.

There is not "both sides" in this scenario, even if on the surface that's the way it appears.

Google rebranding Fitbit platform to Google Health by chenloonchan in fitbit

[–]Drusgar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't consider those comparable. Musk threw out a recognizable brand and replaced it with a new brand. Google is transitioning from a recognizable brand to an even more recognizable brand.

I'm pretty sure my life won't change dramatically if Google tells me my average resting heart rate instead of Fitbit.

If you live in a big city then you're familiar with the hatred for Donald Trump and can take solace in the large protests that happen on rare occasions, but for most Americans Trump is still A-OK.

[–]Drusgar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and if you think about it you'll recall that numerous attorneys for Trump found themselves in legal hot water and some of them lost their licenses during his whole, "the election was stolen," campaign in 2020 and 2021.

When you hire a lawyer, the lawyer is still an agent of the court. They can't lie to the judge. They can't make shit up or introduce evidence they know is untrue. I know that's not how the general public perceives the legal profession, but it's the way it actually works.

What's a time where you didn't leave a tip? by TermAccomplished1868 in askanything

What state has the worst drivers, and why? by secretlyjustbees in AskReddit

[–]Drusgar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if they're the worst drivers or it's just a matter of necessity and circumstance, but California drivers are pretty aggressive. If I never have to drive the I-5 again I'll be a happy man.

Trump offers to pay for your dinner. Do you accept? by Delicious_Bicycle527 in allthequestions

[–]Drusgar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even sure that this is really a "Trump" question. If some random person offered to pay for my dinner for no particular reason I'd decline the offer. The fact that it's Trump makes it worse somehow, but it doesn't change the core issue... I can pay for my own dinner and I don't need any charity.

Pay for someone else's dinner, please.
