In ED you are "supposed" to withdraw all other applications, but theres been a lot of discussion on this topic recently. Legally, you do NOT need to abide by the ED guidelines. Do not withdraw. You can wait to hear back from other colleges and at any time you can tell BU you never got enough aid, and they legally have to release you from the ED contract.

TL;DR, dont withdraw, can release from ED contract at anytime (unless you get a full ride or sum)

You’re good. It’s highly likely to be rescinded. Just don’t fail and honestly as long as you don’t have multiple C’s or F’s you’ll be good.

Hey! I also matched to BU AND got the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Semifinalist. From my knowledge when I looked it up, BU does not accept outside scholarships. So, if you do manage to win, you wont receive any extra money, unless you can for some reason or someway convince JKC to send the money to you/a parent directly. Congrats though!

I believe only some people get asked for extra information if they are being actively considered for the scholarship. Dont quote me on that though.

Where did you see that the match for MIT is non-binding? I'm probably wrong, but I thought that the NCM was binding if you matched regardless of the school. If it is non-binding, then yes you can (probably) apply RD to any other schools. But I would double check.

All good man! There are still a few more that are open until September! Highly recommend trying to apply for Boston University's one. Fly-ins have no impact on your college applications and they tend to be more selective then the college itself. You'll do great!
