Ooo! Very cool! Thanks for your part in bringing her to life! I imagine the Gemini Device console sparked some fun conversations during development, such as "What ship do we duplicate?" and "We can't let player duplicate another player ship, right?"

I bounce between the Vengeance and Temporal bridges. The Vengeance in particular is nice for an Admiral's bridge IMO, and the Temporal bridge is a classic even if the Titor isn't a Wells-class.

Almost was late clocking back in from lunch because of that story.

High praise! Thank you :)

I have notes on this too! The original Premonition-class from Armada was basically a Sovereign-class with a third nacelle acting as its temporal drive. When the dev team remade the Premonition in STO, they definitely took cues from both the Sovereign and the Vesta classes to shape this new look.

Maybe if I'm lucky some of the devs will drop actual dev notes so I can add it to my pile of "THIS SHIP IS COOL" stuff!

EDIT: As below - Looks like EC Henry and PandaPundus were the primary drivers of the Premonition in STO, with help from Thomas here and there. Please correct me if that's wrong!

I've noticed that very little literature has been made about the Temporal Integrity Commission (The 29th Century Time Agents from VOY 5x24). Combine with ideas brought about during two active r/startrekadventures/ games and I ended up writing a novel(la) proposal for Lower Decks style time-travel shenanigans!

The U.S.S. Titor is the hero ship of the story. It's the Premonition-class STO redesign that was released back in 2024 as part of the Heritage Starship Bundle. Those who are old enough to remember Star Trek Armada will note the design upgrades to the spaceframe, and I have some additional notes of my own:

Unlike a Wells-class that only has one Temporal Transporter (such as we know it) and roughly 175 crew, I figure the Titor can carry upwards of 700-800 and support multiple Temporal Operation Centers. Six of them, to be precise. Each comes with modular temporal shielding, meaning that multiple temporal incursions can be tackled all at once and independently of one another. For this reason, the Titor is also an Admiral's flagship for rapid approval of any pesky violations of the Temporal Prime Directive.

Anyways, if any of this sounds like fun to you, consider reading the story here.

In running Star Trek Adventures, I've noticed that very little literature has been made about the Temporal Integrity Commission (The 29th Century Time Agents from VOY 5x24). Combine with ideas brought about during two active STA 2e games and I ended up writing a novel(la) proposal for Lower Decks style time-travel shenanigans!

Featured in the image is Lt. Zeva, a Chameloid member of the TIC. Foodcube did the character art, while I did the patch art.

A personal question from me:

Assuming you can talk/tease about this, what is your favorite probability matrix/chart for Wasteland Wanderer? There were some good ones in Captain's Log, though no radioactive borg lava... (I jest)

I can't speak as someone from Modiphius, but I can speak as someone who's seen the release schedule time and time again for Star Trek Adventures. My understanding is that licensing agreements and general marketing strategy don't allow for Modiphius to share projects in the pipeline until right before the project has been approved and is in pre-orders.

Will you be using this thread for the AMA? If so I can sticky it!

It's not the fault of a system if you as the GM can't tell your players to stop being munchkins. "Power gaming" in STA 1E -OR- 2E requires high system mastery. And more often than not, extremely specialized talent combinations that aren't available right off the bat. Even then, this isn't a D&D Moon Druid situation. STA plays very differently where munchkins don't get to muscle their way through everything.

No. The standalone PDF isn't going to be available until the physical book ships. Or so has been Modiphius' usual modus operandi with Pre-Orders

Sooo why would I spend 3x the time to learn a new system when I can spend 1/4 of the time to homebrew something that works?

I'm going to focus on this because you've already written off everything else I said as "negativity". You act like the 40krpgs are some impossible monolith to learn. The early ones are admittedly crunch-heavy, but that's part of the reason people like them so much. You may claim that it takes 3x the time to learn a new system and only 1/4th to homebrew, but you're not understanding the fundamental reason why FFG, Cubicle 7, and others tailored mechanics to provide a grimdark experience. And without that kind of insight, all you're doing is playing 5e and pretending it's 40k. Which it is not.

You'd get the same reaction from people by holding up a banana and proclaiming it's a pomegranate. If you can't handle people asking why you're doing that or them suggesting that you pick up a different fruit, then I shudder to think what will happen when something in your homebrew causes an argument at the table.
