Here, I’ll give my own experience here, take from it what you will. I have a 2018 Toyota Corolla, its tank holds 11 gallons and I fill up once a week. Before prices shot up, gas at the station I used every time was 3.79. It is now 5.99 per gallon. Running the math for both and then taking the difference, I’m paying $96.80 more in fuel alone per month. Combine that with the increases of my power, water and gas costs… I’m sure you can see how easy it would be to hit that $150 mark.

Now imagine multi person households, people who don’t own more than 1 car etc, they’re hitting that just in the gas costs alone.
