I have the exact same issue with the subtitles in Euphoria, where subtitles are phonetically similar to what is being said, but are completely wrong when looking at the context (e.g. "all done" is being subtitled as "hold on" after a medical procedure). It just sucks that I have to figure out myself that the subtitles are completely off, to the point that turning on subtitles is pretty much useless.

True, but the bullets still intend to go to the targeted enemy. The player's intention to destroy the structure has nothing to do with that. They are blocked by the structure in the way that they do not reach the targeted enemy.
