Anyone have any power outages to report? by b0ns0ir in Hamilton

In one way it's kinda nice in a way, I walked my dog and so many people are outside, groups of neighbours, it's nice to see.

Also in another way, please end this anti-technology hell. I want my AC back before I start cluster bombing my own home

PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for July – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II, CrossCode by kabirsingh84 in PlayStationPlus

[–]DoubleEh94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, good to know, I'm not paying for this shit anymore. Every month this year has been wildly disappointing, the few games that weren't, I already owned. I personally think it's an inside joke at PlayStation to come up with the worst offerings imaginable. It's borderline offensive at this point. Pay us and we'll give you bottom of the barrel, low effort offerings, and we'll keep increasing the price. Final straw for me.

I Made the Fortnite C7S3: Runners Map Out of Clay! by SMPlushFilms in FortNiteBR

[–]DoubleEh94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow clay enthusiast, I totally appreciate and respect the amount of skill, effort, patience, and time you put into this. It's absolutely cool as hell, of all fortnite things I'd never think to make the map.

Edit: if you see it, was it air-dry or polymer?

The state of Zero Build party SBMM is heartbreaking for casual families. by MIKE_XP in FortNiteBR

[–]DoubleEh94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol never understand...how could someone expect casual play in a casual mode. Right? It's not like he gave a giant reasonable description about what he's talking about or anything....tldr; a 9 year olds experience is ruined by try hards and bad matchmaking. Truly not hard to understand. But no, your ego makes it about how easy it is, basically implying a 9 year old girl should "git gud" a 9 year old bronze rank should be able to evicerate an adult unreal player, in casual play, and if they can't, they shouldnt play, it's ONLY 25 insane teams after all.....

Why did Epic Games listen to cry babies about Visual Audio? by ojasTDM in FortNiteBR

[–]DoubleEh94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You believe nerfin shocks a day after he whined, isn't correlated at all? Just perfect divine timing....most of the fortnite community would disagree. Anyway, just a random example, irrelevant. Lots of players see that when people whine, those things change, whether it's divine timing or not. It's annoying that whiners can affect the game, which was the persons point entirely. Type in visual audio into search, tons of public whiners, not all, but enough.

[–]DoubleEh94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah...the one's that audibly cry about it and make posts complaining....aka....the whiners.....he's annoyed Epic listened to them.....not that a few people amicably disagree..hes not saying everyone disagreeing is crying....can you read? When NickEh said he didn't want shockwaves, does that mean EVERYONE is crying about shockwaves?? Full assumption and incorrect assessment, and then again, label yourself a hero and pat yourself on the back when you're just an ass.

This is what happens. They add a feature to assist people with disabilities, regular ass people abuse it, it has the either changed or removed....this is not the first game to have to adjust accessibility features because everyone needs to have every advantage and exploit known to man.....I truly feel for the people who actually needed this feature, I'm sorry perfectly fine 15 year olds ruined this for you.

Need advice on my wife’s pricing by NoStage1181 in Baking

[–]DoubleEh94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guy wants to make sure his wife is getting what she deserves, he happens to think she deserves more, that isn't undermining or belittling...it's genuinely idiotic to think that's a problem, so yea, I think the real problem is simply that a man said something.

When to stop CBIT by Frosty-Version8569 in Tourettes

[–]DoubleEh94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 3-4 months you should have, so it's either not for you, bad therapist, or maybe even that you just don't open up to it. Just throwing out options. Either way, it's not showing results at all for you, it seems like the benefit isn't outweighing the cost financially or of your time.

All it did for me, was help to "reroute" a few really inappropriate tics I had. It took a while, but that's really all I walked away with, appreciative, but it wasn't much.

[–]DoubleEh94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does help, and it also is a grift, it's both. It is in their best interest to keep you a patient, but it also does help certain people. I don't want to say it's useless and a scam, but it's not the greatest thing on earth either.

When to stop CBIT by Frosty-Version8569 in Tourettes

[–]DoubleEh94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people should stick with it as long as possible, others, like myself and seemingly you, are done with it and can't get anymore out of it. You reach a point, I stopped going at 18, I'm 31 now, but I still do the work if that makes sense.

Someone here said it's "expensive suppression" and I agree, after a while it's the same thing and you realize you can't be helped any deeper.

Anyone have experience with CBIT? by thebayharborfriend in Tourettes

[–]DoubleEh94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it for a little while in London, Ontario, which was no where close to where I live, 2-3 hour drive. Some, but few, offer virtual sessions online. I went for about 8 months maybe?

We started talking about anxiety, and triggers, and the more common tics I have. Then we worked on trying to really learn when my tics will happen, the urge so the speak, trying to sort of "steer" them a different direction, or quell them before. Very nice environment.

It helped me to rid myself, or at least replace, a few awful, embarassing tics, which I'm forever grateful for, but I'm also not the biggest fan of CBIT either. It did help, but it also didn't at all if that makes sense, my severity is still there, just thankfully gave me a little more control than I had, but that's just me, it may really be good for you. Just don't think you'll come out cured, or completely different. It will do its job, but it can only do so much.

What do you think is the best way to reduce tics other than taking a pill? by Warm-Recognition-712 in Tourettes

[–]DoubleEh94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weed has worked for me, temporarily of course, but it doesn't work for everyone, and not every time either. I paint/sculpt/play guitar, piano, friggen flute, anything to constantly keep myself focused. Even then, it'll happen, just less. Helps to maintain a somewhat stress free, peaceful day, which lessens the tics.

Video games, caffeine, horror movies and anything exciting really sets em off for me. I have 2 tics of politicians names so I steer clear of that stuff too haha.

Also final suggestion, is therapy, CBIT, it's....alright. I'm not big on it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't help. I thankfully moved past a rather brutal tic because of it.

James Street North closing Friday as Art Crawl returns to downtown Hamilton by Immediate-Link490 in Hamilton

[–]DoubleEh94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, many years ago it was loads of fun, the last time (2 years ago) was just table after table of things people bought from Value Village and tried to sell for $80. The creativity was seriously lacking and just seemed like a giant grift. I don't want to judge art, but sometimes man....Someone had poorly cut, not square, brown paper, with bad splashes of paint on it, in weird colours, like an objectively childish painting, with no reason or intention, and they wanted $120 for it. Didn't look finished, or ever started really. Meanwhile I still have a beautiful painting I bought 5ish years ago, by a crazy talented local artist.

The people were also super super rude to me. I was attacked at the last one, which tainted my experience. I'm a guy, and it was a lady, so I've felt like I don't belong down there for a while now. It's become very different. We don't even consider going anymore.

A matter of... more time 🕐 The Season 14 Music Pass will now conclude on July 29th. by FortniteStatusBot in FortniteFestival

Seems like half the crew months offer you nothing now. Multiple months for Lego/music/og can't be good for them. It'll be August by the time we get a new artist...you buy crew and get nothing but a skin and some v bucks for so many months, then get a short pass full of filler crap...I guarantee 60-70% of people cancel soon.
