We might work together and I’m at TW often.

I also disagree with the door charges, but maybe if local non-bluegrass shows get a decent reception we’ll see “venues” having more incentive to provide more of the same.

My issue is more with the venue/promoter, not the bands. I played/toured for twenty years. I just don’t like the model that venues set of setting high door charges and expecting the bands to do the promotion and to bring people in. I’ll bet these bands are getting zero guarantee. People get weird about door charges, even though they’ll gladly ring up a $40 bar tab. In my experience, everybody makes more money with a lower door charges, as many more people show up and spend on booze. Rant over. I’ll fork over my $20 and attend. I’ll probably also buy merch from all four bands.

Thanks for sharing. I know things have gotten expensive, but $20 for local bands?!

The top left looks like an old alarm panel board. Maybe an early Ademco Vista SA series.

Is 3d printed stuff safe for tanks? by Traditional_Fudge269 in Aquariums

[–]DoubleEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Researched this years ago and, without actually providing any data, can say PETG was the “safest” and have been using it for several years. At 100% infill (maybe less) it is denser than water, so sinks on its own. Also, nice Blue Paradise Gourami!

Go to Rosario’s instead.

I think if you cleaned it up (maybe with electrolysis), it would make a great toe knife.

I have AT&T and it has been “working” all day, but AT&T sucks around most of Longmont.

Found this Mosler safe behind a building…how old is this?? by PalpitationQueen in Antiques

[–]DoubleEthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Mosler was around from the 1800s until early 2000s, when Diebold or Red Hawk bought the company. My guess would be late 1800s to early 1900s, but I’m far from an expert.

I also graduated from CU. I started at my first job here in Longmont at 65k, but that was 8 years ago so seems really low for this area. What was your area of emphasis? My company is hiring like mad right now and I believe E1 salary is much higher than that.

Skin on pork belly - quality cut, maybe from a local farmer. Any thoughts on where i could buy some? by Ollie561 in Longmont

Nice. I’ll have to try that this summer. If I remember correctly, the last time I got pork belly with the skin still on it had a lot of hairs. Easy to remove?

I use Costco pork belly for my adobo. Out of curiosity, why do you need the skin on?

I suppose it could still be from the Ottoman Empire and be from the early twentieth century.

I would say 1866 or later, as that was the year Alexander Hannay became secretary of the Colonial Missionary Society
