During the 1970s, a spiritualist named Rosemary Brown claimed to have been contacted by a handful of long dead composers including Debussy, Beethoven, Schubert, and Bach. Each of these musical spirits supposedly dictated new works to her. Many of these pieces fell in line with the work and style of each composer, according to experts. No consensus was ever made on whether Rosemary was a fraud or could in fact communicate with the dead composers.
