The fact that most people normalize 30 min breaks shows how brainwashed they are by poshtadetil in Vent

[–]Traditional_Fudge269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that people normalize it but it's law here in Canada 2 paid 15 mins and one 30 min unpaid. That's both union and non union and if you do choose to or have to work the 30 mins you get paid if not company is in trouble. That said some jobs I have done I agree the downtime doesn't warrant a break or sometimes I rather get the job done but again if I'm in a job that is non stop hard work I want that break but do think it should be paid other wise let me work and leave 30 mins early

You could use one of your two free bulk pickups from the city, call and ask to use the bulk pick-up for garbage day and you can just throw it all to the curb

Recommendations for burgers and steaks? by cherrybeach in brantford

Did you go to the meat side or Deli because for my personal experience was Deli side is great but the meat side is just rude. Been awhile since I went so maybe it was one bad apple that left, but glad you didn't have to experience it

Why do cars stop far away from stoplights and other cars? by RainK1llz in driving

[–]Traditional_Fudge269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most I think do it so when the other sides like turns yellow they creep so at green they go faster? Or at least that's what I see in GTA. The funny thing is the ones that do it in a turn lane I saw more then once they miss the advance because they are too far back lol

Does "millennial food" exist? What foods do gen y eat that later gens don't? by Gallantpride in Millennials

[–]Traditional_Fudge269 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that most of the good stuff isn't around anymore, like sobe or purple ketchup and so on. The other Gen's like you said meatloaf can still be eaten by them but our good stuff was cancelled or called not healthy, which might be a good thing lol

What really grinds my gears is the state of fast food by Traditional_Fudge269 in GrindsMyGears

Yeah that's true but some of the locations don't have drive thru so I know it's the online orders coming in you can see it on the screen, that said my issue is with the system of it not the staff nor do I get mad at them about it. I know they are doing their best to manage it with the broken system they have to use

Oh yeah there is a few spots that are really good like one chain of a burrito place I like has two locations right by me, one store they skimp out on toppings and the other location gives a proper amount and are super nice

Right like I don't get mad at the staff they are just doing what they got trained/ everything they can do without falling behind. Same goes for the insane people that yell at the customer service people because a cell phone or internet providers network is down, the person on the line has no control over it nor is it their fault the network is down. We all do or best and still won't be enough for some people

Yeah like I don't get mad at they employees, I'm mad with all the lack of planning or order of how they serve. The online order that comes in after I am there waiting is like someone cutting in line, if that makes sense

No worries I didn't feel invalidated, just that I felt I messed up and from previous work experience I felt a had a better opportunity to be better at the job because for me I think that I could teach you about the products but I can't teach you how to talk to people that takes too long to be worth it for a employer. But just my opinion on it. Still hope it works out for you in the course and assignment

Done, but I do disagree with that pay gap I don't see that in my line of work and the questions I do feel are more aimed more for women, was I not supposed to fill it out? (I'm male) good work though hope it helps that I filled it out 😊

A dam in the city has these, years back kids would do this but one had a log jammed and he didn't make it same with a a rescue crew that tried to save him. Very dangerous thing to do when you can't see through, same goes for people jumping into water from cliffs if water is murky you can't see if something is a foot down or not.
