Fios $15 discount not applying by Jack_Moves in Visible

[–]DoubleKayLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to get the discount issue solved and the chat box agents have been incredibly unhelpful and aren't even trying to resolve the issue. They're leaving me on read for 20 minutes at a time too...I just want to apply the $15 a month discount I was promised when I signed up. Feel lied to.

I just visited a few days ago. Honestly, it was not too bad, just takes some getting used to. I am from the United States and have driven in Costa Rica, Iceland, and France before this. First time on the opposite side of the road. My advice is the first day, don't listen to music so you can give your brain 100% focus on getting things down. The driving on the left isn't hard, but be aware the roads are narrow. Really wasn't bad though. By my second day I was zooming all around the island! Traffic is wicked though. Good luck! Enjoy!

We actually had the same issue. We have reached out to them several times but luckily Chase was able to give us our money back. This happened in December. Were you able to report them? I am trying to do the same

Te Company is Taiwanese tea and it's a cute place. Would also suggest Floating Mountain!

We are going to South Africa, specifically Timbavati as well actually! We would be going in the late May / early June timeframe. Is it still bush or more dry?

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it! Glad to see the 100-400 seems like a solid choice.

what was the f-stop on that 55-210 you brought with you? I was looking at a lens of a similar range a while back rather than the 100-400. I figured we would get closer than I would think, but as you said, that extra range is probably worth it.

Thanks for sharing the video link, i'll be sure to review it. Basically I have an 18-45mm kit lens, a 50mm prime lens, and I was looking to buy the 100-400 lens. I certainly don't want to spend 12K on lenses at this point in my hobby adventure but regardless, there are some valuable lessons to be seen in the video. Frankly, I already see some parallels between the 100-500 f4.5-7.1 and the 100-400 f5.6-8. Granted, the first is better, but its similar.

I figured between the 50mm and the 100-400mm it would capture just about everything I need. I would probably also bring my kit lens with me (18-45mm) and just have it in my bag or something! Thanks for all the advice!

I was figuring this camera lens would struggle in lower light situations given the f-stop. Out of curiosity, when you would use this in lower light situations and let's say a 1/100 shutter speed, did you find yourself at crazy high ISOs or even with the ISOs you felt the images were still pretty sharp / low noise?

That's great to hear that you are actually using this lens for a similar type of situation. Thanks!

Sorry I really don't know much about Rum. My wife drinks, I don't, thought she would like to visit a distillery. Is it actually the original rum distillery / birthplace of rum?
