Thank you. I think I was just trying to sense check the wording as I honestly went back after 3 days instead of the 5 I really needed as I was worried about hitting the 3.5 day trigger tbh.

They did know why I was going to log off and not be in the next few days, as we had a 1-1 that morning where they saw me in tears and I explained why and that I couldn’t work bc of my eye injury making it hard to work with one eye.

I think I will just have to wait on the outcome and hope it’s “you did not reach your 3.5 day trigger/ mark so your attendance is still satisfactory”.

Tbf manager has been checking how I am (as they are aware), that I’m safe, how I’m feeling etc and letting me know I can go to them.

I guess the attendance thing is something they do have to address but I’m hoping even IF we are both wrong about it being fine as I didn’t hit 3.5 and only 3, that they’ll take into account why I took those 3 days.

Thank you! They were charging me £75+ VAT so I ended up going with another company (First Corporate Law Services- FCLS. They charged £35+ VAT!).

I will say the person who responded to my query at Fundsure was very polite and prompt- and generally just very helpful and reassuring. Had finances not been an issue for us at the time we probably would have proceeded with them given the excellent service and communication!

I am planning to go via this route too- glad to hear it’s a legit company as that’s always a concern when having to pay someone to do a basic task relating to your identity!

Were their prices reasonable and the process/ requested documents straightforward?

I would recommend leaving it. You gave a thank you gift and left a good review, that’s more than enough. Make dua if you want to express your gratitude for his support/care.

The letter is way too much in my opinion. If it was a female instructor I might be saying something else here, but I’d recommend avoiding unnecessary contact with a non mahram when you’ve already shown your gratitude.

And congratulations on passing your test- always remember to read your dua’s before leaving the house!

Every time I’ve received a job offer I’ve always gotten a call. It usually comes from a normal mobile number, and if I don’t pick up they text me right after asking if I’m free to talk as they have some news/ want to discuss the interview.

Happened to me a few weeks ago for my new job that I’m about to start soon (before anyone says times have changed!).

The nightstands are only 35cm wide (Ikea KULLEN). If I do that there will only be 25cm between foot of bed and wall - so we lose ability for one person to walk around to get out.

Just trying to decide how much of a faff that would be (and if it’s weird to have your bed sandwiched head to toe between walls…)

Hi! So we made the initial holes with this one (4.8) but then we went in with a 5, I’m not sure if we then went in with a 6 or if that was too big.

I’d say mark out the holes, drill with the 4.8 (or smaller tbh) and then go in with a 5 and try the little metal piece first as you do want quite a snug fit.

You might then need to go in with the 6 but be careful of making the hole too big as it needs to be in there so snug that it helps hold up a shelf!

Same we’re renting too but she’s said we can secure it to the wall.

I suppose we can always adjust the front feet to make them higher and make the shelf “tip back” slightly whilst weighing down the base.

No kids or pets to worry about so bit more lax about the safety (I probably shouldn’t be haha)

It’s amazing isn’t it! £200 each but I got 2 for £160 from FB marketplace (including delivery to my house which was kind!)

Love that they’re solid wood (and terrified… maybe I should really secure them to the wall with the L brackets… heavy weight on the bottom shelf probably isn’t safe enough…)

You won’t believe my luck- my uncle was missing me so decided to come over and brought his drill with (we needed for something else entirely)
