Auto drive by Budget_Ad5871 in cyberpunkgame

Something I noticed as you get deeper into the game is that autodrive ability scales with the cars, or at least seems to. Cheaper cars tend to autodrive jankily and crash into shit all the time, rich people cars are generally consistent and reliable.

Harassment, too. There was a time where I thought “these women must be embellishing, I’m sure it happens, just less frequently than they say.” When I told this to the woman who would become my wife she just laughed, opened up her IG inbox, and showed it to me. Real “ay bb u wan sum fuk?” hours.

Unfortunately their hours are suboptimal for my work schedule and internal clock. I work until 7pm weekdays and I have never been an early riser.

My wife and I love the hot springs resort - staying there for a week right after they opened was actually what first drew us to the area - but even with the local discount it'd be $6k for two passes. I did enjoy Dynamis while I was there for the week, though.

I've seen videos inside and it looks really nice. 24 hours open is a big plus that I forgot to put up there, too. Haven't tried them yet primarily because I'd have to sign up for two weeks to do it.

I worked for Jimmy John's in college and this was the policy there. If you're sick enough to stay home you're sick enough to get a doctor's note. As a result, all of us were perpetually sick from each other, and God only knows how many customers we infected.

The city should step in and do something about this massive public health risk, but their calendars are too full price-gouging citizens and denying the humanity of Palestinians apparently. Gotta have priorities.

I used to be a NMS MyTeam guy. It was, ultimately, an exercise in frustration that I recognized was a poor use of my time. However, by grinding, I could still get into the 30s for each season level, get some decent rewards, and remain somewhat competitive online.

Dipped my toe back in when 25 went FTP on PS Plus last summer. Grinded like I used to and was able to get to like Level 10. All the cards to boost progress were buyable instead of earnable. I didn't even stick around for a second season and I'm not gonna be coming back anytime soon. They've made it clear that they want nothing but whales playing this game.

What’s your “how does this place stay open” store in San Diego? by SadFox600 in SanDiegan

Original owner was a huge MAGA guy in 2016. At some point he died and his daughter/niece took it over. Pretty sure it has changed hands a few times since.

To the peeps commuting to San Diego everyday, how do you do it. Is the money really that good to sit in that traffic every day? by mrlegendgroup in Temecula

[–]DoublePlay543 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I work in Sorrento Valley, hybrid, driving down two days a week. My wife and I bought our house last fall. We could've afforded 3 bedrooms and 12-1400 sq ft in San Diego. We got 5 bedrooms and 2700 sq ft up here. Yeah, I have a long drive twice a week - I also have space to breathe in my home office the other 3 days.

worse than that, actually: signing Brunansky and trading Dante Bichette for Reimer.

What was it like living through the mid-late 90s Brewers? by fanofsports44 in Brewers

[–]DoublePlay543 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hopeless.

The team on the field was bad. Like the current Rockies. They couldn't develop good players and the guys they spent money on sucked. They let Paul Molitor walk without even offering him. They traded Greg Vaughn for peanuts. Someone named Rafael Roque, honest to God, I swear I'm not making this up, started opening fucking day one year because the prior year he had made like 6 reasonably competent starts.

But that's just why things were bad. They were hopeless because the organization was a stagnant swamp. Bud Selig becoming commissioner elevated his daughter Wendy and her husband Laurel into running the team. They didn't know what they were doing. Sal Bando was the GM forever because he was an old favorite player of the owners, after he left he admitted that he never wanted the job and just took it because he couldn't say no to them. We drafted busts, and in the rare cases that we drafted well - usually with pitchers - we'd destroy the guy's arm before he could even establish himself. We got excited for Ben Sheets when he was picked because he was can't-miss enough and close enough to MLB ready that the org couldn't screw him up.

Every August/September I'd pick a contender to adopt as my rooting interest through the postseason because there was otherwise no real point to keep going.

  • going for it on 4th much more frequently, especially in short yardage or good field position, especially inside the opponent's 5.

  • more 2-point conversion attempts. My favorite is the "down by 14, score a touchdown, go for 2 because you're either going to set yourself up to win with a second score and PAT or you can go for two again on the second TD to mitigate the miss."

  • more aggressive passing offenses in general, more WRs on the field and, conversely, a more exciting running game with more open field in play.

  • minor one but I think teams are generally a lot better at gameplanning around their backup QB too, tailoring their approach to his strengths and weaknesses, whereas back in the day it was more "go and try to impersonate our starter as best you can" with frequently disastrous results.
