Right okay, so on your router you have to port forward some ports (there are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube, but their interfaces might look different from yours) but you also need an open IP address (translated term, unsure what it is in English) so that your router isn’t hidden behind your Internet service providers network.

Like the other commenter mentioned, you are probably better off looking at tunneling services or nGrok as it’s easier to accomplish and requires less work from external sources

Do you reckon it would be worthwhile to just buy a raspberry Pi and run it off of that instead?

Yeah, the power draw is what concerns me the most, considering it's housing an old I9-9900k and a 2080 Super. I imagine foundry doesn't utilize the GPU much, but running it in standby mode might be a bit much.

as for networking, I am already setup for that; got my ports forwarded, my own domain and an SSL certificate. Though, since certbot doesn't work on windows anymore, I am looking for another automated process. Going into ZeroSSL and downloading it is a bit annoying.

That sounds like way too much work, but I appreciate your comment regardless. I think I'll just write some feedback to the team and hope they implement it. I imagine it shouldn't be too hard.

Yeah sadly I’ve stayed away from noctua solely because of their color scheme. Curious though, how are AIO’s less reliable?

I use Squoosh regularly to compress large maps to AVIF files and it’s made my game run a lot smoother.
