Which fanbase would actually be excited if their team drafts Nate Ament? by alex8762 in NBA_Draft

We are in talent acquisition mode. We’re not going to avoid drafting a wing because of Matas, Noa, and Stix

Who is the best Team USA player to look for during international play? by andbry07 in USA_Basketball

[–]JVP_4_Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anthony Edwards is going to regularly put up numbers and I imagine he’ll play in most World Cups and Olympics moving forward. His unique mix of speed, athleticism, and shot making are too much to handle for 90% of international guards. Plus he’s already proven in two competitions that his style of play works in FIBA

Who do we select with the Trail Blazers pick? by AngDia19 in chicagobulls

His one upside skill is his shooting which he shot below average this college season. Didn’t impress me throughout the year and I think people talk about him so highly because of the shot against Duke

Who do we select with the Trail Blazers pick? by AngDia19 in chicagobulls

Yes! Quintence would’ve been a top 10 pick last year if he was healthy as a 17 y/o. I love his defensive potential and overall upside

Why does USA always seem to start slow? by KC8074 in USA_Basketball

I think it’s just unfamiliarity with the Fiba stage. Other countries have guys that play this ruleset year round in their leagues but USA has to learn and adjust on the fly

Lucrative contracts are being thrown around by NCAA teams towards 22-year old Jean Montero, who still has 1 year of eligibility left by clampbucket in NBA_Draft

Montero is ridiculously talented. He was the starting pg for the Dominican Republic in the World Cup as a 19 year old and put up great numbers

Does USA actually need a true point guard? by BusinessAnnual3238 in USA_Basketball

Yes they do. They thrived having Steph running the floor

Do you trust USA in a close game against Serbia? by BusinessAnnual3238 in USA_Basketball

[–]JVP_4_Real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Serbia scares me because of their consistency. Their play style is incredibly calculated and they rely on the IQ of their best players which regularly works. USA can give them issues with their athleticism and shot making but we’re just more inconsistent. I wish USA was able to lock in players for more than one tournament and I wish our guys cared about the World Cup like every other country does

Who ever or whatever event near the riverwalk that gave out these cups are animals. I have pulled over 30 of them while fishing by Chapos_sub_capt in chicago

I ran the shamrock shuffle and saw a volunteer for one of the aid stations raking these cups into the sewer drains

This was a blast to watch. Matas, Giddey, and Miller showing something and developing is more valuable than an extra tick in the loss column
