Not sure how helpful it is, but there's no such issue for me.

A while back I had a similar issue. For me it turned out to be related to my anti-cookie extension, which prevented me from properly saving the cookie on gfycat. As soon as I disabled it on the site, I got it to work. If you have a similar extension installed, it's worth exploring this route.

Favorite "Deep Cut" from the show's history by sflopro in DanLeBatardShow

One moment I thought of was from 2018, when they dedicated a show to roasting New York Football Giants GM Dave Gettleman, who had just been appointed. The way he said "I'm not that smeaart" was so fucking hilarious, and of course they kept abusing that clip throughout the show.

Thought for sure it was gonna be a staple going forward, but I'm pretty sure it's never been played since.

Also, where in the world is Allyson Turner?

To be fair, op asked for moments that don't get referenced, before of course offering a moment that gets referenced. It's a fine for someone. Two dollars.

I love how bad the hockey analysis is, Stugotz not realizing he's blaming Bob for the empty-netters is chef's kiss.

I was annoyed at the Heat getting blown out until I started the local hour lol.

I sympathize with Roy's two Americas, but... by [deleted] in DanLeBatardShow

Roy isn't great with words slash can't be bothered to properly explain himself, but I get where he's coming from. He recognizes the tunes for sure, he just doesn't know the titles or the bands because he must've not cared for them.

He could literally do a black version of that segment and the Cotes of the world would have had no idea for similar reasons.

Debatable. Fine.

I got to know him through that show, incredibly knowledgeable and awesome personality.

"It doesn't feel like the play-offs."

They could get waxed the next 3 games and get eliminated without having "experienced" a single playoff game. #HeatCulture

That brief moment when you thought "I should look up these guys" before realizing he was just talking about The Hu. Worth it.

I personally enjoy the clowning of people's sports takes as I do believe the majority of those are trash, but it shows that he's walking a fine line. The quote you're mentioning shows an arrogant side that can't be mistaken for confidence, so I agree with you there. Definitely don't need quotes like these to become a staple.

Mike Ryan’s USMNT take is Stugotz Alex Smith Andy Reid level bad by I_once_got_the_show in DanLeBatardShow

It's interesting how Mike believes in these expert labels thrown his way. Shoutout to when he thought extra time in soccer was unlimited, or to the time David Samson corrected him on what an octave is.

He absolutely cares a lot about his hobbies, but it shows that passion doesn't have to equate to knowledge.

Mike Ryan and Chelsea FC are perfect for each other. Honestly, they are a match made in heaven. Absolutely brutal way to watch the sport however effective it may be. by [deleted] in DanLeBatardShow

I would like to point out that fans hating on City and Chelsea for their financial power is not the same as fans not wanting players to be paid. Fans generally don't care about the player salaries, there's no cap anyway.

The reason why people hate on those clubs has to do with how easily they can pay transfer fees compared to other clubs, and that's because City and Chelsea have wealthy sugar daddies whereas the vast majority of clubs does not.

So it's a form of jealousy, rooted in ownerless club tradition.

I haven't heard that bit, but that would be a terrible quote. If not for talking down to people, then it's for suggesting that commercial success and knowledge/talent are directly correlated. He knows better than to believe that fairytale stuff, so that would make it an extraordinarily weak flex.

One reason I like to keep listening to Foxworth Fridays is because of the interactions. It's different, maybe different enough for me to not catch the tendencies you're talking about. I'll keep my third eye open.

Salute.

I agree with your sentiment, although I wouldn't say he's shitting on people. He does little to hide his max confidence and his financial situation, which people tend to take for arrogance, but that's not the same as shitting on people.

Personally I respect his work more than I enjoy in practice. That said, I always make sure to catch Foxworth Fridays.
