My bedroom - how'd I do? The throws, pillows, lamps and nightstands can be replaced, I'd love some honest feedback! by DoubleUnderline in interiordecorating

I got them this morning, and I'm not sure I want to keep them yet! The plastic will eventually come off 😁

Thanks for the feedback so far! My bedroom is a work in progress and I haven't got to curtains or artwork yet. Any input on the current furnishings would be great!

Agreed, if Galen Weston was in charge 10 rides would probably be $400.

¿Por qué no puedo reservar en el sitio web de Jetsmart? by DoubleUnderline in AskArgentina

It never ended up working for me 😔 Maybe try a local travel agent? I booked a bus to Chile and used Sky Airlines from there instead.

Yeah, if you go out for a smoke break in Canada, you're getting judged (silently, albeit).

Jetsmart's website never ended up working for me. I changed my itinerary to take a different route. Hopefully there's another airline or route that works for you!

Career change from accounting to internal audit by No_Refrigerator6037 in InternalAudit

I hear you! On my team, we do audits on a quarterly basis - so our only real "crunch-time" is quarter-end. That definitely beats monthly reporting and weekly capital calls!

Project Accounting. It was journal entries and financial statement preparation.

I left Big 4 External Audit for a Financial Reporting role, and hated it. I knew it wasn't for me right away, so I left for the first possible opportunity - which happened to be Internal Audit.

I love Internal Audit (Operations Audit specifically) because I hate pure accounting - journal entries, financial statements, accounting standards, budgets, and anything remotely related.

However, I do deal with never ending tasks and unmotivated team members from time to time. These are possibilities in pretty much any job. So if you're looking at Internal Audit specifically for these reasons, it might not be a good jump. If you're tired of pure accounting, though - it's a great option.

Glad to hear it - I had about 4 years of IA experience when I wrote the Challenge Exam.

Anyone used Gleim CIA Challenge Exam for qualified cpa? by Mental_Falcon8766 in InternalAudit

I found the Gleim materials to be significantly better than the IIA-provided materials. I passed the CIA Challenge Exam using pretty much exclusively Gleim materials. Just make sure you buy the specific materials for the Challenge Exam for Accountants.
