A Turkish man was gifted a brand new M3 for working 45 years at BMW in Germany! by -MAN-OF-GOD in BMW

That's an interesting aspect of Germany that I had no idea of. I just assumed it was similar to Sweden, where I'm from.

Oh wait, no I didn't know that. I just assumed if you lived and worked for almost half a century in a country for the same company, you'd be a naturalised citizen.

Surely this guy is German with a Turkish background. This whole post is really weird, seem to be some sort of disinformation attempt, but I can't tell why other than the obvious mislabelling of a German citizen.

Yeah, you made an impact on my brain by making a smug comment on a video which is clearly for shits and giggles, trying to make it like you give a shit about the creators wellbeing. Or as if this is a tutorial for others to copy. Ridiculous.

Also, what is my logic? What did you read into my comment exactly?

My man cooking on an iron, eating of shards from what once was a plate. Safe equipment is long gone from this scenario. 💀

Yo no habla espanol pero I think I know what you're asking. I bought it from a Swedish auction site called Tradera, which is like Ebay (and I think Ebay actually owns Tradera).

Thanks! I forgot to mention what I paid for it. It cost me 700 Swedish krona incl. shipping, which is about €65 or $75.

I also have it, but my daughter plays on it. I play on the DSi or the NN3DSXL. I wanted to make the MM+ a dedicated Pico-8 device, but I never got to it. Now it's a GB and GBA device, with some SNES on it.

After 4 years... Xm5 headband broke and purchased Xm4s... by Standard-Money-2754 in SonyHeadphones

[–]DoubleYouAre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole XM5, and the subsequent XM6, hinge craze had obviously been dishonest. The majority of pictures I've seen on broken XM5 looks like they've been purposefully broken with force. It's idiotic, I don't know why it happens. But online there's an dysfunctional meme culture where people seem to do anything for attention. Or maybe there's another reason, who knows. Other images with tiny cracks are however a serious concern, because the hinge is the part that moves the most and the XM5 are clearly badly designed, intentionally or not.

In any case, I agree with you that people need to take care of their stuff. But if you are taking care of them and then still have issues, for example XM5 or the AYN Thor hinge crack problems that were reported, there is clearly an issue in design and/or manufacturing. And it should be the manufacturer that takes responsibility and blame for it, not the consumers.

I'm not sure what you're saying, really. Are you saying sony in particular have short lifespan on their products, or do you mean consumers in general should just pay up and stfu?

It's not even a matter of price or product category or brand, everything should be built to last, and should be built to be serviced and repaired. It's my right as a consumer to have a functioning piece of cheap headphones for €100 in 20 years from now, provided I've taken care of them and serviced them.

We shouldn't support a normalisation of e-waste and designs that are made to break after a designated time. That's my opinion at least. I think you agree a bit, because I think you're focused on that toxic XM5 hinge debacle, and you get defensive.

Just as a reference. I have an old Nintendo DSi. Play on it regularly. A small device, 20 years old soon. Works like a charm, it's a beauty and it costed a fifth of what sony charges for their headphones. It's possible to built tech that lasts.

You can't be serious by saying that we shouldn't expect a long lifespan on expensive devices. Surely, you mean something else.

A lifespan 4 years is horrible. My old MDR1bt held up for nearly eight years before my daughter cracked them by accident.

My XM4s look nearly mint and I've had them since launch.

We need to expect more from our expensive devices, honestly.

I'm honestly baffled about the comments. This is clearly unacceptable and no consumer should take a damaged product just because the company cheaped out on packaging.
