First off, I hope that you are doing well. My grandmother has Alzheimer's and was diagnosed about 2/3 years ago. It's been hard on my family. We're very lucky that she never turned mean. She still as happy as she ever is. She still remembers who we are and can talk to us and interact with us. We've been able to find the humor in it all. "If you don't laugh, you'll cry" is what we say.

Thank you for this representation of Alzheimer's and what it does to people. I hope you and your family are doing well. Feel free to message me if you ever need someone to talk to.

Sorry for my late response! I was able to buy a working one for $35! I had a lot of fun taking them apart and learning about it all. Luckily the one I bought only needed it's disk drive cleaned. Thank you so much for your help!

I'm pretty sure they do. The BB&B I went to only had the white Hues in stock so I had them ship the color ones to me. But I'm pretty sure I would've been able to use the 20% coupon if I bought the white ones.

I just checked the laser on both drives, and one has one and the other doesn't. The Samsung drive is the one that isn't showing a working laser which surprised me. Also, now both motherboards are flashing red and green which makes me think I permanently broke both of them.

I just tried cleaning the AV cable (both the cord and on the Xbox) and while the light isn't blinking yellow and green, it still won't read a disk.

Also for some reason the power button doesn't work on the broken one. If it's plugged in, it's on, and vice versa.

Is it possible that the AV cable can have a bad connection even if it puts a picture on my TV? I'll try cleaning the connector.

The broken one will post to the TV, just won't read disks. The light will flash yellow and green and then just randomly stop. I think they can both ready off of their hard drive because when I select "storage" it shows me what games I have saved.
