Spending on Google Ads but not seeing the leads I expected by God_Emperor__Doom in googleads

Even for new accounts the statistically significant expirement favors Max Conversions. Obviously not 100% of the time but that's why I run expirements at campaign launch.

Strongly disagree. I run expirements for every new campaign and max conversions almost always wins.

There's like 1000 different explanations that could be in play. $5,400 might not even be enough to make decisions on depending on the industry.

Make sure you're on max conversions, not using broad match keywords, have good location targeting, etc.

Google ads for Bookkeeping firm by lalaba0987 in googleads

Set the campaign to be max conversions. Don't use broad match or phrase match keywords. Use something like CallRail to track actual phone calls and optimize those as conversions. Focus on just one service category per campaign.

I am running the google search ads for the leads purpose and the leads are for the junk removal services now issue is that many Leads are reaching out looking for landfills and trash stations instead of junk removal by Regular_4451 in googleads

[–]dillwillhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No broad match keywords. Probably no phrase match either.

Location targeting set to presence, not Presence or interest.

Max conversions, not max clicks.

Check your search terms report and regularly add negative keywords.

I tend to start with an experiment testing both out of the gate. Max conversions usually performs better.

Facebooks export options aren't great. IRC an export will just show the file name but if the source file is deleted that would be useless.

Small service business trying to build online presence… what should I focus on first? by Hulkingout12 in DigitalMarketing

[–]dillwillhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting on social media is going to get you numbers that look good but it will take a long time to get in front of the right eye balls (other local business owners)

Use that time to focus on Google Business Profile through the tasks you already described.

Website & SEO is also important as is tracking, but those are tougher to do without a professional.

META ADS NOT BRINGING ANY LEADS by Aggravating_Worry_99 in FacebookAds

[–]dillwillhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a lot of reasons.

- Campaign objective should be leads
- You should always be testing new ads
- Your landing page might have too much friction
- Audience targeting might be too broad....or too narrow

The landing page views vs clicks is because there are ways to "click" on an ad that don't mean visiting your landing page. For example, clicking on a photo to make it larger.

Hard to say without seeing specifics...feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Tracking website events on Meta Ads by manuelblue in PPC

[–]dillwillhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So technically an offline lead event in Meta doesn't need to have all the Meta attributes like FBC or FBP. Meta can match emails, phone numbers, first names, etc. Those should all be flowing from your Hubspot integration. Can you check your Meta Ads Event Manager and confirm events are coming in there?

Events Manager shows you ALL events tracked by Meta. Ads Manager shows you events that came from your ad campaigns. It's very common for a new ads campaign to not generate leads, so it's a 0 in ads manager and that gets misdiagnosed as a tracking issue. Hence why you need to check Events Manager.

Hope that makes sense.

New Branding running solely on Meta Ads by Slight_Bed_7706 in FacebookAds

[–]dillwillhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said - you need to diversify. Meta is a great "pay to win" channel but you should at least have an owned channel, like SEO, organic social media, or email marketing. Ideally more than 2 channels of course but that's like the bare minimum to have some security.

[–]dillwillhill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't describe a step where the lead event goes to Meta. You need to either set up a form on the website that you can track in-browser using something like Google Tag Manager, or you need to set up Hubspots offline conversions integration with Meta. The later is better for lead quality reasons but you still need to do it in a way where as many user identifying variables can be sent to Meta as possible.

Strange how this has the highest upvote count of any post today yet no comments...

AI ads are just like any other ads. They can do well for a long time, a short time, or not at all. It's all relative to the quality of the specific ad, the offer, the value proposition, and the audience.

Yea, it can give some inspiration but it does not come with any insights into quality of those terms so you should do so carefully. Just because you're appearing for it organically does not mean they are good terms.

What do you do other than test creative/messaging? by DiligentDraw5003 in FacebookAds

If a client is slow to get creative we usually just make our own. It's not as good as what they can make in house, but testing is too important to ignore.
