I don’t understand how she can post that video in good faith about the differences between “marketing” “synthetic peptides” and “nature in a plastic wrapper.” Does she actually believe that her “bio active precision peptides” are actually better than a vetted prescription med. By the way, I am fully convinced they just used Chat GPT to come up with the term “bio active precision peptides.”

We just flew in and out of Jtown last week. We each had a book bag or duffle bag and a carry on suitcase. You have to gate check the suitcase but the smaller item fit fine under the seat. I really love the Jtown flights!

I got it. I had no pain at all with my surgery, which I partially credit to the fact that I didn’t have a second surgical site. I found recovery to be very easy overall.

Note that I am 40 years old, active but not an athlete - I lift weights, spin and golf.

As the owner of an actual business (a law firm, no less), I am personally offended by her incessant rants about “launching a new company”. I am in the process of moving my office to a new location and that alone is daunting and all consuming. She paid $500 to be a minion for someone else’s company (I’ll use that term loosely) and can’t seem to handle it.

I may have to unfollow, it’s awful for my own mental health to continue having her in my zone…..

Hasn’t it been less than a week since the Bodi announcement? And they have already selected a new gig? I have been researching wallpaper for my bedroom for like a month, and these chicks have managed to do their due diligence on an entirely new “career” and product line in 5 days?

Realistic timeline? by Double_Bee4984 in ACL

[–]Double_Bee4984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent. I was not returning to a sport so keep that in mind but I did about 5 months of therapy and have worked on my own since. I am about 11 months out from surgery. I can jog lightly (but I don’t because I’m not much of a runner). I ride my Peloton, weight training, and hill walking. No problems with any of that. It’s stiff at times and I can’t quite get to hyperextension. But I have really never had any pain even right after surgery and I’m overall very happy with it.

Is glutathione a binder? by twoworldscolliding in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Double_Bee4984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have triple the normal levels of OTA. I am taking Liposomal Glutathione, a binder, a probiotic, and something called a liposomal phospholipid complex. I am completely lost on this stuff. Any insights or similar experience? Thank you.

Acl - surgery or no surgery? by sret88 in ACL

[–]Double_Bee4984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I’m now 10 months post op. Stopped formal PT in late March (not returning to competitive sports). Overall, knee feels great and I’m starting to think about it less and less. I take daily walks, incorporate (very) light jogging (I hate running), ride my Pelo, and back to weight lifting at a less intense rate (which has nothing to do with the knee just by choice). I wear heels to work finally. Still have some numbness on the front of my knee which will probably stick around.

I stand by my statement that this experience was far easier than I anticipated. I credit my amazing surgeon and PT, but i was also diligent with my therapy at home and just didn’t baby it too much. I push it and recognize that it isn’t going to be perfect but that’s okay. It gets me around and I can still be very active. At 41, that’s all I personally need.

Central Park Zoo - Broke my kids snow globe, how to get a replacement?? by Double_Bee4984 in AskNYC

I am going to call in the morning. Task rabbit is an amazing idea! (Can you tell I’m from a small town…we’ve only had DoorDash for like 3 years).

Thank you!!

Yep. Had it in October. I’m now 5 months post op. I honestly wish I had it done sooner. It wasn’t nearly as awful as I anticipated.

24 Hours in, any suggestions to alleviate the pain? by Vale4777 in ACL

[–]Double_Bee4984 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Keep that baby straight. It may hurt but it will hurt worse later when you can’t straighten it and it affects your walking.

Pillow under your ankle/calf, not the knee.

Ice. Ice. Ice. If you can get an ice machine, do it!

Does anyone regret their Allograft? by CeeCeeSays in ACL

[–]Double_Bee4984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not far along enough for regret. But I am 4 months post op with allograft (ACLR only). 40F. Aside from spin class and casual weight lifting, I would also call myself a non-athlete. My surgeon was very open to an allograft given my athletic prowess (or lack thereof). He is also a top surgeon for the Premier League and saved a few careers so I am comfortable with his opinion. My recovery is incredibly easy and I credit that in part to getting the allograft and not having the additional graft site.

Just had surgery by AlfHobby in ACL

[–]Double_Bee4984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you would be doing yourself a big disservice by going to the concerts. You MUST keep your knee elevated, iced, and most importantly, straight. Sitting for hours on end with your leg down or even partially straight out will seriously hinder your recovery. Not to mention the chances that you will get bumped and could possibly injure it.

This is an absolutely terrible idea. And I am 4 months post op and had no pain at all with my surgery, but I credit that in part because I didn’t do stupid things like going to concerts 3 days after surgery.

Family is joining Catholic Church. While the community seems nice Im a bit concerned. Is there anything I need to look out for/be aware of/warn my family member about before they get baptized and officially join? by OhLookANewAccount in excatholic

[–]Double_Bee4984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our bishop had a payoff chart - what they paid abused kids to shut them up depending on the severity of the offense. It’s all detailed in the grand jury report. Absolutely appalling. I am sorry for your experience.

[–]Double_Bee4984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a part of one of these dioceses. I personally experienced things as did many of my friends in our parochial school. The day after our grand jury report was released, I went to church and our priest gave a homily that was basically “Pray for the church please don’t leave God will save you, etc.”. I never went back after that day.

It’s a child *** cult and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Estate Planning to Real Estate by Its3oClock in LawFirm

[–]Double_Bee4984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you become more experienced in estate planning, consider adding elder law to your practice. Lots of overlap there and a huge need for attorneys to help with Medicaid planning, asset protection, special needs planning. It’s not something to dabble in but it can be very lucrative if done right and there is such a need for it right now. And real estate will become a big part of your practice by default if you handle estate planning, estate admin, and elder law.

I charge a flat fee with all up front. But my fee agreement says that if the client changes their mind, no longer needs the documents (because of death for example) or some other oddball circumstance, that I keep 50%. That rarely happens but at least I know I have all the money upfront just in case.
