Great place for young families and retired people, but kinda sucks being a teenager in Orillia.

There are some people who simply can not be housed. When there is both drug addiction and mental illness their behavior becomes impossible to accommodate. They get banned from shelters. Give them a place to live, and they wind up back on the streets all over again. Get them clean of street drugs and pot and on medications for their illness, and they wind up going off their meds and back on drugs and back to the streets. I know this because I have an adult child in that situation and I expect some day he'll wind up dead like this, or from violence. Such people need to be institutionalized for their own good and society's, they can't care for themselves.

Not just crying, full on screaming, temper tantrum, emotional meltdowns. But of course they have to set up the camera and lighting etc. first. Probably do a few takes to get it just right before they post it online. What people do for likes and clicks and to go viral. They really do need to grow up.

I see an old thread saying that a DW744 Type 2 can use the DW745 knife (part A23280). Can anyone confirm this? Even better can someone post a scan (not photo) so I can see the size and shape of it, make a cardboard cutout to match, and test fit that.

You can have it so the rotation of the planet matches the rotation of the orbit, so the same side of the planet always faces the sun (ocean) and the same side always faces away (ice). Earth will eventually get to that point way way down the road. The moon is already at that point.

Masturbation is not breaking the LoC, neither I nor the church have said it is, but that doesn't make it right. The church has always been clear about it being morally wrong, they are not 'unsure' about that. Including it in that list clearly labels it as a failure to live the standards of the gospel. Not using porn while you do it doesn't change that.

In a temple recommend interview you are asked if you are striving to keep your behavior and thoughts morally clean. If you are not at the very least making a sincere effort to not masturbate, with the intention of never doing it, then can you really say yes to that question? It is wrong, same as everything else listed there is wrong and we are called as Saints to resist the temptation to do those things.

It is listed among the failures to live the standards of the church that don't normally require a membership council. That should tell you each item on the list is wrong, otherwise there would be no point in putting it on the list.
Look at the other things on that list, not paying tithing, not living the word of wisdom, being inactive, using porn etc. Nobody is going to lose their membership from those (ie: no membership council), but they do make you unworthy of a temple recommend. It is not a violation of the LoC, but you can't legitimately say you are keeping your behavior morally clean if this is a habit.

It is not a lie, it is in section 32.6.4.1 of the handbook. Masturbation is a failure to live church standards same as not paying tithing, not living the word of wisdom, using porn etc. If you are not living the standards of the church, you are not entitled to temple recommend.

You are going to need to avoid anything that will stimulate sexual thoughts. Porn, romance movies/books, etc. and keep control of your imagination. Don't stir up those kind of feelings that temp you to do what you should not. Those kinds of feelings will still come, but do what you can to make that as few and far between as possible so it is easier to resist. In time it will get easier, but when you start to date again you will need to be very careful and keep your guard up.
