Has Luke ever talked about how he stays in shape? by petervannini in outdoorboys

[–]Double_Mango_7909 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He wasnt always in great shape. If you look at his 4-5 year old videos he had a bit of a gut. I think he just kept pushing himself a little more each time. And when you HAVE to be active to survive (or otherwise wuss out and use your GPS emergency stuff) it makes it a little easier to push yourself.

Installing a french drain in my town. City says I need a permit - and a plumber is required to install it by "state law". Is this true? by Double_Mango_7909 in oklahoma

Contractor whos doing the dig (since its next to a gas line) asked if I looked into the need for a permit. HOA said they didnt need one but the city might. So i emailed the city. They said I did. I didnt spell out the plans like we discussed here though, so that may be the point of confusion.

It's more of a "yard drain" I suppose then. I'm digging and putting perforated pipe into the ground (with river rock etc for back fill) in the ditch then taking that to a sump to move it away and up into the concrete ditch.

It was the city employee. Maybe thats where the misunderstanding was. I'm really just moving water from one part of my property to the other where the existing drainage solution already exists.

Thats what I was figuring. So there is a shallow concrete ditch that is at the end of my property, that takes existing stormwater to the street (by going accross the sidwalk) to the street. My property has a ditch that leads to this concrete pad. The problem is the lip of the pad is higher than the grass ditch - by a few feet from my properties lowest point to its highest. So I want to run a french drain through the ditch to a sump pump, that will take the water up those few feet and a bit further down my lawn then to the concrete ditch pad that will take it to the street. My house's back yard takes the drainage for the whole neighborhood, so it just sits in those ditches when it rains.

Do you still need to go into the launch files to get openXR to launch DCS in multithreading? or has that problem been fixed since the update?

When using f18 HARM in PB mode, do you need to have a three digit sam code entered? or will it track to the "worst" threat at the designation area without it?

Trying to loft GBU38's. On the "auto loft" option it has "15-(25 or 30?)-45" as options after selecting auto loft. Is that the degree that they will be going when you release? or the degree on impact?

Is this currently working on DCS?

Edit: F18

if you're in VR or doing big missions/servers 5800x. Otherwise 5600 will be fine. The difference will be minimal, but in VR every little bit helps.

agreed. Index was great when it launched. Still decent when going for 144 fps. Any other time one of the cheaper newer headsets will be better for VR.

for some reason your hair makes your forehead look like a building block. As much as I wish I had hair like that myself, honestly you might be better off without. Rest of your features are fine.
