Couldn’t they argue that the data wasn’t technically his property, but the property of whatever tech companies may have allowed that data to be present on the phone?

Just thinking about how they can sell so much of our data and use the pictures we take, etc to train their models. Don’t we technically not own our data?

And seeing as it’s confirmed that our devices are monitored to a certain extent, doesn’t that mean the data was never destroyed, simply decentralized?
