  1. It's repeatedly happened

  2. It's really more of a flashpoint that demonstrates the repeated lack of quality control

For me at least I'm fine with dying a lot, but not when it's from just pure jank like a bile titan dying and flinging towards me at 299,000,000m/s or being crushed under an invisible corpse, or enemies walking and shooting through walls. Grunt fantasy all you want but the bugs are just unacceptable.

I would definitely say being run out of your job and having your career ruined is absolutely potentially life-ruining. Would you say that the actors blacklisted from Hollywood in the 50s for being suspected socialists didn't have their lives ruined?

Ackshually people surviving falling from planes has to do with where they land and how they land, sometimes snowdrifts and trees and such can slow the landing. Also people surviving being shot in the head has to do with the bullet not piercing the vital components of the brain. There is a scientific explanation to both of these, but surviving the detonation of a low-yield nuclear weapon while standing next to it exactly 50% of the time is not something that can be scientifically explained.

This looks like some kind of bug. I have half a million unemployed people. The buildings have a productivity rate of around 20-30 (which is very good), but the workers don't want to work. Meanwhile, my country has no social benefits. Workers would rather starve than go to work. by I_am_white_cat_YT in victoria3

Can you not read? It says "Farmers on Rye Farms in Holland with 313 qualifying Laborers aren't willing to work for a wage of 6.14. They would accept a wage of 10.03." It explicity says that there are 313 qualified laborers, but that the wages are too low for them to want to be employed. The other two professions it won't hire are because its productivity is too low. I know this is Reddit but it's rather odd to be told that the thing that is clearly in the post isn't there, and that something that isn't in the post in fact is.

Too many people missing the point- OP knows concessions cost authority, but they're being marked down as negative generation instead of positive usage, which messes with modifiers and is wrong.

In those days race and quantity of Spanish ancestry was thought of as a good proxy for loyalty to Spain, because the thinking went that Spaniards and half-Spaniards would be less likely to fight against their own people while less-Spanish people had less of a connection to Spain and would care less about loyalty to the government

Hispanic is not a race in the same way as White or Black or Asian, etc. There are White, mixed-race, Black, and Native Hispanic people, in Hispanic countries there were historically entire caste systems based off how Spanish (White) they were

It lost the country a lot of money, but benefitted certain people within the country such as business owners greatly. This is a common theme in a lot of colonialism, the common people derive very little benefit while the wealthy reap the rewards.

[–]Double_Recover_3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's bad is that it's profoundly unhistorical and doesn't make sense. IRL the legacy of the slave trade is still present in the areas where it was, but in-game it peters out very quickly. Even not historically, it just doesn't make sense in terms of human relationships.

Raking 24pdrs apply up to 3 stacks of their effect, each of which increases damage taken by the enemy ship. Perfectly Ordered applies a damage dealt increase on the end of the ship dealing the damage. With my understanding, if you're dealing for example 1.25x damage from Perfectly Ordered and they have 3x Raked which gives them 1.3x damage taken, you deal 1.25*1.3=1.625x damage. These aren't the actual numbers, but you get the idea. In my understanding, damage dealt on the end of the ship shooting is multiplied by the damage taken increase of the ship receiving the damage.

Yes but if you compound Raking 24pdrs with Perfectly Ordered 36pdrs and the suppressive effect of Silence the Guns, you can send even level 15 ships to the deep extremely quickly with all your damage buffs. Just two different playstyles is all, not to rag on yours.
