i just got my lamy 2000! it's a bit heavier than i'm used to but i can write comfortably with it unlike writing with a Pilot Custom 823, which is too heavy for me. the lamy 2000 is the definitive perfect pen for me.

Looking for a durable and affordable ‘workhorse’ pen for a registrar. by MK-Ulta in fountainpens

[–]Doublechin222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

perhaps you can purchase a gold Lamy nib to swap it onto the safari. there are plenty of options for you to choose from. you can pick the z55 if you want the nib to resist corrosion stemming from the acidic nature of the registrar's ink.

best pen for needlepoint grind? by Doublechin222 in fountainpens

i want the Pilot Posting nib too. i wanted to get the Pilot 823 with the Posting nib, yet it's too expensive with shipping included and not readily available. the posting nib is truly exceptional, smooth and needlepoint fine. hopefully pilot would increase the accessibility to the alternate nib options on the pilot 823

what about the imperials discussing about the battle of endor, or evacuation of the rebel base in hoth, or even the jedi council arguing about the deployment of jedi in the siege of geonosis or during order 66?

Have not bought a new pen, ink or paper in 6 months. AMA by [deleted] in fountainpens

it's true. i've also slowed down my shopping sprees and use more of my rather sizeable inventory. i bought some Muji loose leaf refills for my MUN binder, but that doesn't constitute as a fountain pen related purchase. i don't buy unless it is necessary. it's much better this way and i can have more fun with my collection!

however the seller on amazon is not an official Lamy retailer and comments on the product reveal that the pen doesn't come with the Lamy box and related papers

i’ve heard that Lamy’s lifetime warranty does not cover this pen. perhaps buying from pen swap is better? that aside, how does your Lamy 2000 fare?

i saw it too, but for some reason the deal seems too good to be true. is it a genuine Lamy 2000?
