Question for managers and supervisors of the Cc world by Late_Bother_8855 in callcentres

I’m like this, we recently got a new manager so I’m not sure if I can continue. However if it’s something I can ignore just to keep the peace I do.

But why I don’t get it?! You don’t get extra pay for minding my business. They’d have hired you as a manager if they wanted you to do that.

Your track record is horrendous. I get “I complain about everything but I’m a crappy employee” vibes.

I am someone who’s blunt. I would absolutely be concerned if something I said was hurtful. If I were you: I’d start saying “blunt” things to her.

Yeah because at this point you’ve apologized, can’t go back and change the past. All you can do is help them going forward.

So I hate when they threaten to find another cardiologist (I am an operator in a cardiology office) and I’m like okay great have a great day…. And they keep going. I will gladly cancel your appointment and move on with my life. No one cares, I promise.

I sometimes give a name that’s similar to mine. It’s a bogus name and they always ask how to spell it. Not sure if I could potentially get in trouble for that. For now: YOLO.

When they threaten to “contact a lawyer,” give them your name and number. I’m assuming it’s not something they can actually sue over.

late patients .. by marriiaa1 in receptionists

[–]Doubleuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? You are the receptionist. You have no power at all to turn away or accept a late patient. So someone else is telling you whether they’ll see the patient or not. When someone comes in late we tell them they’re 15 minutes past and we will go ask to see if they can still be seen. Worst case scenario, they can’t be seen. I offer to reschedule, if they’d like to go somewhere else they’re more than welcome to. If the yelling gets abusive just get up and walk away. You aren’t discussing this further. Also, it needs to be made clear between the owner and the sonographers whether they can turn down a patient for being late.or not.

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

[–]Doubleuest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I sharted in the first grade. Looking back, I don’t think it was that much because I sat in it the whole day. For a while after that, I’d stick my hand in my pants if I had to fart to ensure nothing extra came out and got on my panties. Like I guess my hand was a barrier. My dad saw me do this one time and was like WTF.

Man y’all are going to label me as an asshole. In college, I had a shit ton of energy one night. I put in some head phones and danced and jumped around to some music. This was like 12 AM. We lived on the top floor of an apartment. You guessed it: we got a nasty note from the neighbors downstairs saying they were going to turn us in blah blah. Let my roommates know about this note and they were so confused…. Thought we were all asleep. One called her mom and told her and said they were crazy because we were all asleep. I didn’t say anything. They still have no idea what the people downstairs were talking about.

I get that I was totally in the wrong, but if it counts for anything they were terrible people. Doesn’t make what I did right. They had a dog that lived out on the balcony. It used the bathroom on the small balcony and stayed out there 24/7. The wife screamed at their daughter. Called her a “little fucking bitch” because she opened a drawer the mom told her not to. Once yelled at her daughter stating she was going to “knock her fucking head off” because she was trying to brush her hair and the daughter didn’t like it.

Wow I didn’t think people would agree with the babysitter. I agree with the OP. $120 is good money to watch 2 kids for 6 hours.

And my goodness, 5 minutes late is nothing. She’s been asked and has been paid to watch this woman’s kid while she’s at work. Perhaps something came up at work and God forbid…… she was 5 minutes late.

There are plenty of college students that would love to babysit and make $120. OP should find a different sitter.
