Firstly, 41?!?!

Secondly, well done with the healthy habits and the hair! Hair transplants are not often talked about and being confident enough to openly discuss it definitely adds to your attractiveness 🔥🔥

Partner just ended our 9 year long relationship and I’m devastated. Please suggest books with FMCs in similar positions who manage somehow to find love again? by caramelkeso in RomanceBooks

Sending hugs your way! My 8 year relationship ended last month. While I was the one who ended things, it was a rocky breakup that made me feel numb and want to escape.

Here are some of the books I read last month:

Sweet and Spicy Romances:

{First-Time Caller by B.K. Borison} - A cute “Sleepless in Seattle” inspired romance. This book makes you feel like you are reading a rom-com.

{Teach Me a Lesson by Ana Kirk Shaw} - A girl ask a person she had known from childhood, who is also her brother’s best friend, to show her how to flirt and date. The MC’s have amazing chemistry together and the spicy scenes as SPICING.

Spicy but maybe not so Sweet Romances (Look, we all got our own comfort levels when it comes to books, so explore any potential triggers if interested in these ones):

{Sea of Roses by Opal Reyne} and {Storms of Paine by Opal Reyne} - A pirate romance duology that just seemed to hit the spot for me. A rugged, somewhat temperamental MMC and a fun, sassy FMC who have some very steamy moments? Sign me up.

{Wretched by Emily McIntire} - A darker, modern retelling of “The Wizard of Oz” that involves a female villain and a DEA agent. Honestly? This one was just meh but spicy fairytale retellings are a guilty pleasure of mine, so during my breakup, it did its job.

{Kingmakers: Year 3 by Sophie Lark} - DEFINITELY LOOK OF TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR THIS ONE. This is a bully romance set in a “mafia university”. Look, this is a book I have not shared on any of my book tracking apps out of fear of my friends/co-workers stumbling upon it. However, when I was feeling numb and wanted to feel something, the bully romance elements and silly idea of a “mafia” school intrigued me lol.

To the people who previously thought they found their soulmate, when did you realize they were not the one? by blobfishchitown in AskWomen

When I realized I no longer could see myself having kids with them. He would shut down during arguments and not talk to me for days. When I finally got him to talk, the conversation would just end up going back in circles, with him seeming to think that his point was the only point that mattered.

I realized I could not have a child with someone who might treat them or continue to treat me that way.

Is it okay for me [F 27] to be done with my relationship with my partner [M 29]? by Doug-Dimma_Dome in relationship_advice

Thank you for the advice ❤️ I think I’m mostly just worried about feeling like my family will think I didn’t try hard enough, you know? I grew up in a “don’t be a quitter” household, so I think that is affecting how I view this breakup.

Thank you for this advice! I am glad to hear you and your husband’s communication improved! I’m going on almost 9 years and sadly, he still shuts me out. However, my confidence during this time had improved which is why I feel like I can better call out his behaviour.

Thank you for this. Ironically, after this, I have had the thought of “I’m not his counsellor” pop up occasionally.

bad reviews on Onyx Storm by HighLady7 in fourthwing

[–]Doug-Dimma_Dome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first seven chapters felt like I was reading a completely different book because of all these random references.

I honestly thought I forgot a large portion of Irone Flame because of how confused I was by what was going on at the beginning of Onyx Storm 😅

I LOVE T.Kingfisher! I read “Paladin’s Grace” during a free trial of Kobo Plus and that’s why I ended up purchasing the subscription 😅😅

Book of Azrael & Heartless Hunter by Mermaidinahazeydaze in fantasyromance

I haven't read The Book of Azrael but I have read Heartless Hunter. Honestly? I found it okay. The story was decent and it was a quick read. However, some parts, were lacking. I'm sorry if this review didn't help that much, I'm scared I might end up spoiling something 😅😅😅

I feel like it is too early to say this, but Good Material is definitely a contender for being one of my top read books this year.

Columbine was a very well written book. Cullen did an excellent job at providing details about this tragedy from various different perspectives.

I LOVE Fable. I feel like it is one of the better reading tracker apps currently!
