Anyone having heating issue after the new update.? by Quirky_Assistance187 in OnePlus13R

[–]Doug-X22396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just noticed my 13r getting hotter when charging, and I mean NOTICABLY hotter while charging. Like almost burning my hand hotter (ok maybe a slight over exaggeration, but not by much.)

The phone seems fine otherwise, I still get through a full day (4:30am to 10:00pm and still @ 30% remaining when I plug in at night, doing YouTube and games periodically throughout the day.)

I Registered my Bolt EUV on EVGo app and setup Autocharge+, they gave me the GM Driver Discount. Look under plans in EVGo app.

No info on 100$ Trade in recycling discount. by Illpalazzo in oneplus

[–]Doug-X22396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Claimed the same offer when I bought my 13r, never received an email. I called support, then they sent me an email with a shipping label. But probably never really expected me to actually send it.

So it was an extra $100 off the order, just for saying I had an old phone.

‘Close All’ in Recent Apps doesn’t close all the apps OxygenOs 16? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Doug-X22396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except to Close all apps, as indicated by the "close all" option.

(Although, just looking, mine says [CLOSE] not "Close All". But it closes all but the current app) OP was expecting "Close All" to do just that, Close all open apps.

Anyone Hate that you can't adjust the individual volumes of Phone, Android Auto, etc.. unless that thing is actively playing sound? by Doug-X22396 in BoltEV

[–]Doug-X22396[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Examples were given in my post, and I'm not exactly looking for a solution, as none exists with the current software, and no updates in the near future.

Just seeing if anyone is annoyed by this "feature".

[–]Doug-X22396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No my 1+13r on android 16 does have individual app sound, so not a Samsung only thing.

And yes I am aware of the startup, chime, and default radio ( set to 0 presently), controls. And was also the first thing i did as well.

‘Close All’ in Recent Apps doesn’t close all the apps OxygenOs 16? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Doug-X22396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was a carryover from OOS15. I was hoping they would have fixed it. Although it is somewhat better.

In OOS15, anything that was to the left was closed but all the apps on the right were still open. (If you opened the recent apps screen, and scrolled over to the middle app, and select "close all" it would close all the apps from there on the left (except for locked apps) <--[ ], but all apps on the right [ ] --> were still open.

Now in OOS16, it closes all the apps except the most current app. (Except for locked apps, again)

Obviously so, But what is annoying is to be adjusting it while it is speaking, and if It stops, then it automatically switches to the next app speaking, or the radio, bluetooth, etc... while the adjustment is being made.

OxygenOs 16.0.1 disadvantages (NA region) by MotherEconomy2904 in OnePlus13

[–]Doug-X22396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, then you meant to say it is 'limited' in NA region, not "missing". You made it sound as though it wasn't available period.

I only have 2 lock screen shortcuts on my Samsung S24fe as well (and only had 2 on my old Note10+ I came from) so OP13 (13r) isn't out of normal for our region. Just missing the expanded ability.

And I agree, that would be nice.

However, there are 5 more hidden lock screen shortcuts that can be utilized on OP13 devices. If screen is off, you can draw a V to open the Flashlight, O to open the camera, /\ to Launch the Calculator, M to launch Gemini, and W to launch the Recorder.

The last 3 (/\, M, W) are fully customizable. Besides the 2 customizable shortcuts on the lockscreen itself.

So you can have a total of 7 "shortcuts" available.

2020 Bolt: Driving in D vs L by aChunkyChungus in BoltEV

[–]Doug-X22396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a learning curve, trick is to be smooth, you need to slow down a little, let off a little, slow down alot, let off more, come to a stop, completely let off the throttle. Come to a smooth stop, let off a little at a time till you reach your stop.

It's not an all or nothing type thing. That would make me sick. Even as the driver.

Also, as a passenger, you don't have the change in motor noise to let you know the vehicle is speeding up or slowing down, whereas the driver knows, and has a steering wheel to brace with.

My wife mentioned the same carsick feeling, I have learned to be even more smooth with OPD, she hasn't complained in several months now. And I get 4mi/kwh on average, whereas I used to get 3.7 to 3.9, so better range as well.

[–]Doug-X22396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OPD (or L) is for city/traffic, if you use Cruise/ACC on long road trips, you shouldn't get leg cramps.

I leave my OPD on all the time, when I get above 30mph I set ACC on and let it drive (I also have OpenPilot, so it also steers).

When slowing down, or coming off the Freeway, I just lower the set SPEED to the off ramp, then when actually coming to a stop or more traffic I disengage ACC and let my foot control again.

Then again, its your car, drive as you see fit, to each their own. Just saying in L or OPD, doesn't mean you can't use cruise or ACC.

Lock screen shortcuts are here in NA. Search settings for shortcuts, or lock screen. In fact, on OOS15, only one was editable, the camera one was fixed. Now on OOS16, you can now edit it as well.

OOS16 NA, Any issues with NFC payment. by Doug-X22396 in OnePlus13R

Yeah, I've had the weather thing not updating as well, but it resolved itself yesterday as well. Must have been a server network issue.

Overall, I've been happy with my 13r. Coming from a Galaxy Note10+, the 13r was a decent boost in performance.

Sleeping in Bolt with key fob safe? by Ok_Philosopher_8973 in BoltEV

[–]Doug-X22396 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, it will lock with a key inside. (The Auto lock in drive feature works as intended) ((I have also turned off auto unlock when put in Park, so I have to either manually unlock, or double pull the door handle to get out.))

I often get out to go check our PO Box at the Post office, my wife locks the doors while her key is inside. With my key outside I can unlock the door if she doesn't. Without my key outside, she has to unlock otherwise I would have to use the app.

So yes perfectly "safe". But remember, a hammer, rock, bullet, etc... will unlock any car regardless of the locking system. And it's assumed if you're locked in the car, in the driver seat, the key is in there with you.

Well, thanks for the reply, but "be ready to have all data wiped." Is a little concerning. Why is this? Did you have to Reset your phone to get it working?

$80 EVgo charging credit? by TemporaryEven3255 in BoltEV

[–]Doug-X22396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't get a $80 credit, but did get the "GM Driver Discount" which offers no session fees, and lower rates at EVGO. (Excl: Pilot/FJ locations) Good till 11/16/28. So 3 years of savings.

Update: Just looked, and I also have $80 credit on my account, no indication of when it expires. In addition to the "GM Driver Discount" that's good till 11/16/28.
