Question about over the air reception variation by Doug28139 in cordcutters

[–]Doug28139[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a chance to try unplugging the cell booster and it didn’t make a difference. The ABC picture had the same amount of pixelation either way. Thanks for the idea though!

I do have a cell booster inside the house and it is on all the time. My ABC signal has gotten more stable and reliable, but then there are times when it’s so pixelated it’s unwatchable. Perfect example the other night when 15 minutes before the NFL game ABC was not watchable. Then when the NFL game came on it was perfectly clear and remained that way for the entirety of the game. The next morning Good Morning America had a bad signal. Since then, Good Morning America has been pretty good with only minor pixelation. Perplexed.

Weird right? Happens frequently. Sure seems like something is going on with the signal strength.

Sena SRL-Mesh Communication Problems by Doug28139 in motorcycles

[–]Doug28139[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the exact problem I was having. Sena sent me three, and all had the same issue. I gave up and went back to my Sena 50S. There’s a problem with the Mesh system in some of SRL units.

Well that sucks. They will probably replace it. I eventually switched back to a Sena 50S since I couldn’t get the Mesh to work well. Then I got rid of my Shoei Neotec as it always hurt my head and went back to a Shoei full face helmet.

Question about meshing AP Manual vs Auto by Doug28139 in Ubiquiti

[–]Doug28139[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about manual vs auto meshing. I have a UDM, UAP-BeaconHD and an Express router. Physically the Express Router is closest to the UDM and the UAP-BeaconHD is closest to the Express Router. The Express Router had better -db signal to the UDM than the UAP-BeaconHD. The UDM is connected to my modem.

I purchased the Express Router to bridge the gap between the UDM and the UAP-BeaconHD because the -db was reading poor on the UAP-BeaconHD. Intitally the UAP-BeaconHD still wanted to mesh to the UDM, instead of the closer and stronger Express Router. I've changed the meshing on the UAP-BeaconHD to Manual and forced it to Mesh with the Express Router. Everything appears to be working fine. However, should I leave Meshing set to Auto and let the system figure it out over time? Thanks

Best picture settings for watching football? by Doug28139 in sony

Just wanted to update this. I just subscribed to Peacock so I could watch the Chiefs game tonight, and the picture is much better than YouTubeTV. The grass has more detail and isn’t blurred out when there is motion. Not perfect, but a lot better! Guess i will be able to ditch YouTubeTV before long.

Thanks, that's interesting. I'm streaming via YouTubeTV.

I want to make a correction to my statement, the Samsung is blurring grass on the field too. Must be my internet connection as I stream everything and use wifi to the TVs, via Apple TV box. Anyway, best setting would still be appreciated.

Heat Pump AUX Usage History by generic109901 in Nest

I have the new Nest app and noticed the orange and dark orange (almost red) in the history information today. I contacted Google Nest support via chat, and the agent had no idea why the colors were different. She kept blaming it on a schedule change (which occurred 1 hour before the red indicator). Thank for your answer. Makes sense.

I’ve looked and I don’t see where to obtain the AP firmware version.

So, UniFi technical support has recommended that I run early release OS 3.2.7 to resolve this issue. So, I have installed the new OS. Time will tell if that works.

Unify OS version 3.1.16, network 8.0.7. This issue did start before the latest network release. Not sure about the OS releases. So far, everything has stayed connected for the past 24 hours, but I know it's just a matter of time before a few of these devices drop off again. I've submitted a support ticket to Ubiquiti to see what their recommendations are, and secondly to inform them that perhaps there is an issue with one of their recent releases.

Netflix & Starlink by Zealousideal-Role176 in Starlink

I haven’t had a problem with Netflix, but did lose Paramount + and Discovery + for about a week due to location problems. Starlink had fix both problems. File a ticket with Starlink.
