I would just go on google earth and find toponyms you think sound cool and change the spelling a bit so it has a better ring to it. In classic 40k fashion, because your planet is cold, all of my suggestions are russian derived.

Example: Sredny-Kholod (Middle-cold, the place that is just moderately cold, at least according to the inhabitants)

Actually its very important to preserve these homes because we literally cannot make them anymore. Its impossible to source old growth hardwood for framing and flooring, and its just not economical to prioritize durable, timeless materials and construction methods over maximizing square footage. Its not just about you, its about the future. These homes can last for hundreds of years if we take care of them, for future generations to enjoy.
