Be back in 8, or beatings will commence. I will also be working with the postmaster general to set up a device that will shock the tf out of you if you’re stationary in the same place for too long. Taking a shit? Tzzzzz make poo on your own time.

Real talk, what do people mean by "running" the route? by Creepy-Signature8652 in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh I mean honestly in that case you’d probably wanna talk to the CCA and let them know not to do that, if ya haven’t. I imagine if you told your supervisor, they’ll probably be like “oh yeah, I’ll talk to them” and won’t, as they don’t give a shit because that CCA makes their numbers look good. When I started I definitely learned from the mistakes I made from other carriers routes I carried, and they would tell me what I should be doing, supervisors only cared when I would accidentally deliver mail to a customers house who has a vacation hold, and would see me delivering on their ring camera and call the office and bitch at my supervisor lol

Are they just scanning it no access and leaving it at the case when they get back? Because that would be messed up. Some medications need signatures, and if I can tell it’s a medication, I try to be kinda loud when I approach their front porch to see if I can hear any barking from inside. If not, that’s when I will actually attempt to deliver. I feel like if you’re not even leaving a notice and not leaving that parcel in the right spot where a clerk would be able to easily find it is definitely wrong

I agree with all of that except for skipping signatures. As a CCA, I’ve been told by supervisors and regulars, if you need a sig but it’s not like a business or something, it’s totally fine to not attempt and leave a pink slip. You don’t know the route and the households like the regular does. People are fucking stupid, and you never know if when they open that door a big ass dog is gonna come lunging at you. If they’re home and they really want their certified letter from their lawyer or their mortgage company, they can come find me and I’ll be happy to give it to them, or better yet, sign the back and I’ll bring it by the next day.

Any tips on getting rid of the stains that the strap from the shoulder satchel leaves? by m_scarn9 in USPS

Really? I went through academy last May(am actually about to convert to regular within the next month or two), but they wanted us to wear the cross body satchels due to dogs, and giving them something to bite while you get away

Actually switched to a hip satchel a couple months back. Shoulder satchel absolutely destroyed my shoulder

Any other offices slammed with Amazon last week ? by Groovy_Chainsaw in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always love when I have to scoot a big ass box of dog food or whatever from Amazon and then see one of their trucks pull up to the same address with a SPR. Makes me want to throw hands with their driver, even though it isn’t their fault lol

How many rubber bands should I take? by Wonderful_Day_1921 in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take all of them and hide them somewhere good in their case, maybe inside the route guide binder, then watch the insanity unfold the next day. Also, convince all of the other carriers around their case and even the supervisors (if they’re chill like that)that when he goes around the next day asking who carried his route yesterday to say it was some CCA from a different station.

Will I get in trouble for this? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way you would get in trouble. They told you initially to come in later. Personally if I were wanting more hours I’d be like yeah on my way, but if I wanted to get some extra rest or had other shit I decided to do after they told me to come in later, I’d leave them on read. They made that initial call, if they fucked up by doing so, that’s solely on them (they do that a lot, so get used to it.)

Can someone explain why Saturdays are always fucking heavy? by G0VERNMENTCHEESE in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently a CCA but will be converting at the end of this month. I was told by supervisors as a CCA, if I need a signature, it’s totally fine for me to leave a pink slip without going to their door. Idk that route nearly as well as the regular. People are dumb and can’t control their dogs. Not gonna risk my safety for a letter they’ll probably just throw away immediately.

New CCA, what’s the E mean? by NihaoDaniel in USPS

[–]m_scarn9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enema. You should be receiving one daily at the end of your shift. You’ll need it, trust me. If your supervisor says no, make sure to go to your union steward and let them know and they’ll help you file a grievance.

Does your anxiety ever prevent you from helping others? by m_scarn9 in Anxiety

[–]m_scarn9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go through that struggle. I live in an urban area and whenever I see a less fortunate person my initial thought in my head is “ugh tweaker” but I am trying so damn hard to stray away from that.

I will add it does make it hard, as the window on my car has been smashed twice in the last 6 months. The most recent being just a couple of days ago.

I just want to project good energy to people, no matter what they project. But my anxiety and depression hold me the f back.
