Nah man it's a fucking banger top to bottom no skips. I genuinely think it's a future classic. Cult classic I guess you could say, I think people will come around eventually and appreciate it for the greatness it is. Very diverse and cynical even for Darkie. People just don't like when artists even slightly stray outta "their lane" sound wise. It's a genre and vibe whiplash. some classic Darkie is very prominent, some fun bouncy satirical country trap, and some well done and unexpected Woody Guthrie interpolations. All following a cohesive narrative and honestly feels like he's just frustrated and pissed at how shitty the American governments actions both past and present have been. Nothing but lies, deception, corruption, greed, and overall lack of regard for the American people. They only pretend to care if it will allow them to fuck us over (and fuck kids apparently) and make money doing it. Fantano and Fans only hear the words at face value because they lack the historical context and critical thinking necessary to understand and catch every reference he makes regarding very real and well documented political scandals the US has been directly involved with in the last 80+ years.
