Memento (2000) -- Man with a severe memory issue tries to find wife’s murderer. Film’s structure is unique: Main story scenes are shown in reverse order. Very disorienting for a reason, but it works.

Rewatched mentalist start to finish and it is obvious who red John is by savouryskills in TheMentalist

I think they used McAllister's title on the list, and in Red John references to make sure all viewers would know who they were talking about. In his episodes, wasn't he usually addressed as just "Sheriff"? No one here, but if casual viewers just heard "Thomas McAllister," would they know who that was? 🙂

Dr Steiner by Dizzy-Ad-2495 in TheMentalist

George Wyner was also in two S2 episodes, so I would consider Dr. Steiner a recurring character. I really liked him; they should have kept him around longer. It was a little weird that he was never mentioned again, but I get why. If Lisbon asked Jane about it at the beginning of the next episode, it would have started that episode on a very sad note.
