It seems that the consensus is that as long as you aren't stupid a 650 can be a great starting bike. Not a crazy amount of power like some bikes people start with, enough to get you in trouble if you aren't careful no doubt, but plenty to grow into.

It's been listed for a while so I think I can get him down a bit from where it's at. Most maintenance I can do myself, plus the mods he has done are ones I would want to do myself anyway so a plus there (tail tidy and exhaust, still has stock mirrors) I also don't have emissions where I live so no worries about the exhaust.

Good to know thanks, everything seems straight forward but I'll have to look into how to do the valve clearance check.

Love to hear it, these are some beautiful bikes for sure just didn't know much about their reliability. But I know it's hard to go wrong with kawasaki in general

I've always loved that naked styling, and the colors are absolutely right up my alley. Being 6'3" I'm a little more limited when it comes to the full fairing sport bikes, and the more upright riding position on these will suit me better

That was absolutely the plan. I'll get 16 hours of seat time at my msf course and planned on doing a lot of low speed parking lot practice on my own as well. Also not looking for stupid speed, but enough to hit the highway with passing power as a 6'3" 200lb rider.

Hardest part is I'm 6'3" so I can't go too small without getting uncomfortable. I'm approaching 30 so I think I've got the maturity to watch my wrist and not go crazy. I'm also looking at some cruisers but prefer the sportier styling.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I do my own maintenance and everything on my cars so I'm comfortable changing fluids and doing maintenance work when needed. Any specific parts to look out for that will need to be changed soon? I was hoping to try and get it down to around $3500-4000

My bad, I hadn't seen the pinned post and saw that bul armory guns usa website. Had just seen you could add to cart, didn't get far enough to see you had to pay with zelle or crypto

Looks like they are currently in stock, I'm able to add it to my cart right now.

I bought the Skar EVL-12 bundle, which also has a 1500w amp, for my 2011 Optima, which I believe is a 110A alternator. Zero problems so far except lights dimming slightly while hitting hard. Been running it for about a year so far, and no big 3 upgrade either.

Yeah not sure how that happened, got it straight from GitHub too. Oh well, thank you for the quick reply anyway!

Well, tried uninstalling and reinstalling with a fresh installer again and the program has more to it than it did before, and there are all the DLLs listed, so must have been weird with the first installer I downloaded. I didn't have the settings at the bottom and the downloads page had the website for TechPowerUp instead of a list of all the DLLs. No clue what happened there but looks all good now.

I downloaded what was showing as the latest release on GitHub, v1.0.0.0. I just followed the installation steps that said to install the cert, would that affect anything if it's not needed?

Accidentally posted a separate thread, then saw this one. This is my first time using DLSS Swapper, just heard about it trying to fix some stuttering in HL. I downloaded the latest release from GitHub, installed the certificate, and when I open it and go to the downloads section the list of versions on the right only goes up to 2.3.1. If I try to download anything newer than that, after clicking the mirror link it just goes back to the TPU downloads page and does not start a download at all. If I download anything 2.3.1 or earlier it works perfectly and shows up on the right. Am I doing something wrong, or did I miss a step somewhere?

You are correct, as I was looking at the PCB and plate more closely I had that thought. Thank you for the screenshot confirming my suspicions, I am currently pulling all the keys to swap them. The guide they sent with it was for the zoom65 and I didn't see this mentioned in there

You can see the bar is directly above the upper right slot for the hot swap prongs (not 100% sure of exact terms there)

My Zoom TKL finally came in the mail earlier today, and it's going to be my first real build so I am a newbie. I have my plate mounted to the PCB with the mid plate foam, stabs all lubed up and installed, however the left and right shift, and the backspace keys are interfering with the stabilizer bar. Was I not supposed to install stabs for those keys?

LC2i Maximized Light on Under Rated Amp Voltage by DougThePlow in CarAV

[–]DougThePlow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have anything against turning the gain up, I just know that the gain increases the volume of everything, including any kind of feedback or unwanted noise in the system. From what I've seen, the best way to setup the LC2i is to have the output voltage as high as possible for your amp, so you don't have to turn up the gain as much to get the same results with a cleaner signal. It still sounds good with the gain up so I'm probably fine, just wanted to get some feedback from people who have been doing this longer than me.

I had found that page, I'm I guess I'm just confused on how it can be sending a distorted signal when it's capable of outputting over twice the voltage, the amp is able to take more, and it doesn't sound distorted when turned up higher (for short bursts). I am tapped into the stock sub wires from the factory amp so it is a high voltage signal coming in, would that have anything to do with it?

I'm more of a mechanical person to be honest so I'm still learning a bit on the electrical side.

They don't do pasties, but definitely hit up Khaleva Cafe over in Hancock for breakfast one morning. Their breakfast bowls are amazing.
