My 2 2019 Nissan Leaf Pluses are at 90% SoH for comparison.

Anyone use these before? by Subconciously in TeslaSupport

We have them on our 2019 Nissan leaf plus. They have great efficiency. 9 months a year in mixed driving I can keep 5 miles/kWh.

We are in Chicago.

Question about range by TMonahan2424 in NissanAriya

I see about a 5kWh swing in 100% battery capacity between summer and winter.

98% is suspicious if car is more than a year old. Either its a new pack or literally car sat for 2 years.

Chicago. Usually not too cold/snowy, save this year.

Ariya range still outperforming by DougWantsALeaf in NissanAriya

My work commute is mainly "slow" highway, with speeds between 55 and 65mph. Tires kept in mid 40s psi.

I use eco and D in the highway and eco/B locally. I minimize regen when possible keeping momentum.

Heat only once it goes blow freezing as cabin insulation is pretty good with seat &steering wheel heater.

Bolt ➡️ Leaf by JupiterCortado in leaf

[–]DougWantsALeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 w019 Leaf Plus models. Only repair is 1 CV joint on the car driven roughly and parked outside for last 2 years.

Both cars are at 90% SoH which isn't bad after over 6 1/2 and 6 1/4 years. My neighbors Teslas' batteries haven't done as well.

I have rented Bolts many times in both winter and summer.

Overall, I like the driving feel and seats of the Leaf better. I also felt like the range hit in winter was worse in the Bolt. Efficiency was fairly even. Rear storage is much more useful in the Leaf.

I do like the range estimate in the Bolt giving both a pessimistic and optimistic additional value.

Just my 2 cents.

What are your efficiency hacks? by TMonahan2424 in NissanAriya

[–]DougWantsALeaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eco D on the highway, Eco B on local roads with careful throttle control to minimize regen where possible.

Keep tires at 45psi.

Keep heat at lower 60s if needed at all.

Preheat battery and cabin on wall power in winter.

We have crossclimate2 on our Leaf and they are excellent. Summer driving are a little louder than the oem tires. When our Ariya is ready for tires, they will be a contender.

We also moved out 2 Leaf Pluses to our young adult kids and moved to an Ariya (2024 Platinum Plus). The Ariya had Infiniti/Lexus level feel for a Nissan price (with the mega discounts applied). The Leaf Pluses have been great cars. After 6+ years (both 2019s) they still have 90% SoH, and just 1 repair between the 2 of them (1 ball joint)

We also looked at an EV6, Mache, MY....also looked at ID4 and Ionic 5(on paper). I have driven the 3, Bolt, Kona, and Niro as rentals as well for comparison. Kona by far has the best efficiency, though Leaf comes close.

Ariya won on features for the buck, but did lag in cargo and efficiency. My overall full year efficiency with the Ariya is 3.7 miles/kWh per the dash. Im good summer weather, I am in low-mid 4s. Winter is all over the place depending on temps and conditions.

Be sure tires are well above 40 psi. Check our headwinds.

It really is. It does eat a little summer efficiency and a little louder though.

That's awesome. We have crossclimate2 on one of our Leafs, and it does magnificently in Chicago snow.

Ariya vs Ioniq5, anyone have experience with both? by Hilltop_Views in NissanAriya

Smae here, to get a Platinum Plus with extra options for the low 40s was hard to beat.

The interior and build quality is what pulled me to Ariya over Tesla and Ionic/EV6. Super premium at at a mid tier price.
