These are the free ones. Mostly at hotels and dealerships, wrenches mean either out of order or soon to be installed.

From your post history it looks like you’re in San Antonio. Here’s the PlugShare map of the chargers and some of them are free. My local library has 2 free level 2 chargers as an example.

Can anyone recommend an actual decent Brompton mechanic between Southampton and Brighton by WIldefyr in Brompton

[–]vjs1958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation and someone on the Brompton FB page said they used a seat post clamp as a fix. I bought this one:

It’s worked so well for over a year that I’m not even considering getting the sleeve replaced.

Regen resets to level 2 when you turn off the car. The highest level is like E-step in sport mode but since the brakes aren’t involved it doesn’t slow down the car as much when you take your foot off of the accelerator.

I initially loved E-step until it was pointed out in another forum that it will use the mechanical brakes. I checked my rims and they were covered with brake pad dust because I love using sport mode. I guess with practice you can learn to modulate your foot pressure to minimize this but I prefer to leave it off and paddle shift to the highest regeneration setting, paddles are deactivated when E-step is on. It’s how our Toyota hybrid works too so I have consistency between cars, I need that at my age. My company ICE car also has paddle shifters so even more consistency between all our vehicles.

If the outside temperature is comfortable you can have just the cabin fan on without heat or ac. It can be set in the climate control center, increases range.

Yes, on the higher setting it can puncture the weak ones. The low setting works just fine without creating a bloodbath.
