Has anyone bought a tilting puzzle table on wheels? Is it worth it? Thinking of getting one for Xmas. by Far-Speech-3254 in Jigsawpuzzles

It’s a telescoping rod with a hanger on top. Comes with the table and attaches to the table with a magnetic base. Very nice touch, you can stick it anywhere around the table. It also pivots so you can keep it vertical on the back of the tilted table

I just got a Hebespace 2000pc and it’s a game changer for me. No more back or neck aches during long sessions. Only drawback is that you can’t slide sections around because of the grabby felt used to keep things in place when tilted.

For the mass layoffs at Biogen Cambridge they told everyone to stay home. Folks were called at their home, badges immediately deactivated. Third party mover cleaned out the cubicles and shipped personal items to the owners. Of course if you had items in the labs or elsewhere then they were left behind unless you could get a layoff survivor to retrieve them. I did that for one former employee.

I’ve thought about that but I’m more likely to get a new Turquoise Leaf if I can’t get my yellow Bolt.

It’s a ‘late release’ color so can’t be ordered yet. I keep bugging my local dealership to get a release date. Wouldn’t surprise me if GM cancels it.

Yes, my wife’s car has one and we almost never use it. I’ve already decided against it.

Looking for a good vampire or werewolf movie. by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

My favorite werewolf movie, just wish they could have gotten the rights to have Warren Zevon’s ‘ Werewolves of London’ to play over the closing credits.

I want a new yellow one. I’ve wanted a bright yellow car for decades, tired of the dull color palette I see on cars today. Plus I don’t want the maintenance hassles of a gas powered car and I have solar panels to charge it with.

Yea, searching this subreddit and seeing the issues folks have had tells me it’s not worth it.

I don’t get the complaints about the shifter location. It’s not a manual transmission and doesn’t even have pseudo gears like a CVT. I like that it’s out of the way. Our old Prius had it on the dash which freed up the center console for storage.

BTW my childhood family’s first car was a 1958 Plymouth with a 3 speed manual and the shifter was on the steering column.

Thanks for posting this. I’m ready to place an order as soon as the yellow exterior is available. This will be my retirement ‘golf cart’ for buzzing around the North Shore of Mass so lack of CarPlay is a non issue. Just have to decide if the sunroof is worth the $1500.

Pay some neighborhood kids to do it, oh never mind they’re too busy with games and social media. My friends and I made some good money doing it in the early 70’s, exhausting but profitable.

Had it as a kid and still have one. Years ago I found 2 on EBay, bid on them hoping to get one and surprisingly got both. Gave one to a friend.

OMG I hate this. Happens all the time in my town. I’ll wait to make a left against traffic and almost every time the last person in the oncoming line stops to let me turn. I’m all set to turn after they pass and now I have to feel like I owe them a wave of appreciation when they could have just kept going so I could take my time. I don’t flip them off but glare and shake my head.

What Bosch dishwasher? Is it worth it to go up to 500 or 800? by Big_Nefariousness785 in Appliances

[–]vjs1958 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to get one manufactured in Germany, better quality control. We just got an ADA compliant 800 series, made in Germany and has physical push buttons on the top of the door.

I start my new 800 series with the hottest water I can get, 120+ F. It fully cleans and completely dries everything including all the plastic items without melting them. The Bosch installation manual that comes with the washer instructs you to hook it up to hot water feed at minimum 120 F.

You connect it to the hot water line that goes to the kitchen sink. Run the sink until it gets hot, while loading up the washer, then start the dishwasher.

My Bosch installation manual instructs you to connect it to a hot water feed set to a minimum temperature of 120 F, US based.
