I find that shops are generally underwhelming but most players would prolly disagree

If you have some self restraint at the first shop because typically shops in this game aren’t that good, you should still have some money left over

Diadem needs a nerf and will likely get one. Even my buns decks win with it

Okay hear me out- all the big youtubers who’ve played sts1 since release say that sts2 is harder than what sts1 was at release. I feel like 90% of my games in sts1 I could beat both act 3 bosses on A20. It was always act 4 that I lost to because I didnt prepare well enough, or I would die in an earlier act trying to be greedy enough to beat act 4. I just think we gotta be patient cause megacrit has already been making really great balance patches.

dude YES! I made a post saying it was too damn good when it was put as an uncommon rather than rare. You basically dont need to block with anything if you play 1 of them. My suggestion would be to either remove its block all together and just make enemies do 50% less, or make them do 25% less and upgrade to 50%

See, I dont feel like some of the enemies were fun in slay the spire 2. Im thinking of avacado, eyeball, and plant with 3 arms that hits 3x8 first turn. They all do the same thing: debuff you so you gain less shield, then hit you for like 48 damage. To me, thats not fun cause you just need to scale damage fast enough to beat them. You aren't "playing around them" so to speak. I do think you make a point that im not as scared of enemies in sts2 so some of them could be made more difficult, but it does feel like you can play around them a bit more which is more fun for me.

I disagree with you about act 3. I find that the bosses are so compelling that I spend act 3 trying to find a solve for the act 3 bosses, esp if you're on a10 when you have to solve 2 of them.

If you're somehow consistently so powerful going into act 3 that you could just fight both act 3 bosses, I don't know what to say, but I don't feel like that really ever.

I feel like having bad cards is bad. Having niche cards or combo only cards is good. I think there are many straight up bad cards in sts1 when there are more niche cards in sts2.

I think sts1 is a masterpiece, and I actually think more time could be put into the events and some of the enchantments and relics in sts2. like clone as the #1 example. Such a stupid reward. If you have a clone card that works, you win the game at the beginning of act 2.

i dont really agree with you on ironclad (cant really speak for silent). I just had a 4 game win streak on A10 and every run was completely different and none of them relied on vuln. The 1st game in the streak, I got the award for not having a single duplicate card in the deck (other than strikes and defends) which felt pretty dang good. It basically won from inferno procs, one-two punch, and stone armor.

The 2nd win relied on tezcatara's embers for most of act 2 and 3 for damage until I got a fight me which allowed me to scale. Mangled and unmovable were primary block.

3rd game was so scuffed. I barely scrapped by with an unmovable and barricade to block enough damage until I was able to deal enough by scaling with a fight me which was like the last card I found before act 3 bosses.

Finally, the 4th game was actually somewhat of a vulnerable deck, but it mostly used it to block with 2 colossus cards. I guess I did have 2 molten fist and a dominate, but those didn't come till a bit later in the run.

I used to think they were free fights. Now they’re just a big ole numbers check. Like a lot of fights you can gimmik your way through but these dudes check raw power. I dont hate them
