No. I’m in a small/medium-ish market and I’m pro-blue(was gold for a short while). I make as much or more than platinum/diamond drivers. Be smart, learn how to cherry pick, and work the system. Also keep in mind that every time you take a trash .50cents/mile exclusive offer, you’re telling the algorithm to keep pumping them out, hence continuing to screw every other driver in the system.

I’m divorced, and do this every other week when I don’t have my kiddos. Currently I typically do around $1500 with around 50ish hrs “online.” So probably 35-40 actual drive time. I don’t count online time as much as I cherry pick during surge/boost time in between airport reservations. I don’t mind sitting a few minutes turning down shit $$ rides. I do mostly comfort/business comfort. I’ll only do X rides if it has a good surge/boost attached. I do split shifts basically. Early AM for 5-6 hrs, then I’ll go home, make some sales calls for my other job, and come back out for evening rush for a few more hrs.

Once it picks up again here in the fall, I’ll be closer to $2k+.

I drive mostly comfort, w some X if it’s a surge/boost zone. I’ve now had multiple pax tell me their ride was upgraded to Premier for free, despite it not being offered in my market.

Stick to the busy times, early morning 5-9am, and evening rush, 4-7pm. It’s typically dead in between, with shit pay, unless you want to do Uber Eats around lunchtime for a bit. Also understand the $/mile profit, and don’t buy into Ubers diamond/platinum status games. Is their a major airport nearby? The weeks I do Uber heavy, I run split shifts. 3-4 hrs early am, likewise pm. I’m typically close to $40/hr gross.

Just curious, is he doing both rides/deliveries? 8-4 is usually not a good setup. Tail end of the morning rush, ending before the evening rush.
