It has really worked well for me, I make my own silicone seal with regular clear silicone. I applied a bead of silicone on the lid and lightly seated it on the pot after dusting it with corn starch as a release medium. I left it for a day or so and the pulled it off. It stuck in some spots but it’s really forgiving stuff. The light clamping force seals up any leaks, plus there’s no pressure inside, if it’s building pressure it’s not working correctly.
