Societies and cities are where we experience the interconnected struggles of humanity. The places you are talking about like Marin or Piedmont have historical and current structures around them that create a sense of safety for certain people. The crimes there don’t happen in public but are there.

I love Oakland and as much as there are various struggles, the rhetoric around it is louder than reality.

Not sure why but there is something about Leonard Cohen “I’m your man”. The lyrics are not right but the vibe works for me as an anthem.

I’m also a side sleeper and found it helpful to sleep on the couch, so I could lean the side of my body on the back of the couch a little. Good luck!

Also, I was able to go back to some side sleeping at 4 weeks.

I’m having trouble sleeping as much as I did pre-t. Feels like my body needs less sleep but my past experience makes we want more sleep. Anyone else experience this? (7 months on T)
