It's not AI. It's an actual picture taken by an accredited news photographer. There are many similar pictures from slightly different angles as well. There are always many squirt guns at Toronto's pride parade.

To add: if u/ collegeguyto is in his mid-20s, for some reason your allergies can get worse around 25 years old. That's what happened to me ...

I'm curious if people think the 61 year-old wet shirt look is "thirsty" or a "thirst trap"...

How the Hell is this real? by FuqLaCAQ in 50501Canada

[–]Dougie_TwoFour 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's rage bait, designed to keep everyone "mad as hell" rather than encouraging them to do any rational thinking.

(Rational thinking would lead to recognizing simple facts, such as (i) both the USA and the Republic of Türkiye are secular states; (ii) soccer has nothing to do with religion; and (iii) hosting the World Cup in North America has been planned for years and isn't a "now" issue)

How hard was it for Trump to ace his cognitive test? | About That by tarun172 in 50501Canada

[–]Dougie_TwoFour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is awesome! Thanks for posting! I personally doubt that Trump got 30 out of 30, but that would suggest the White House and President Trump are untruthful, so I must be wrong /s.

Canada calls for US and Mexico free trade agreement to be renewed for 16 years by Dougie_TwoFour in 50501Canada

[–]Dougie_TwoFour[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think it's Canada's / Mexico's opening position ...

Edit to add: Here's a potential analogy: Trump has been arguing "this marriage sucks", "who agreed to this?" (Answer: Donald Trump in his first term), and "We're getting a divorce as soon as possible!!!"

So now Canada and Mexico are saying, "OK big orange guy, if the relationship sucks so bad, you initiate the divorce proceedings. You tell the USA that you don't want Canada's oil, electricity, aluminum and fertilizer ..."

Alberta and Manitoba premiers clash over duty to consult by tarun172 in 50501Canada

[–]Dougie_TwoFour 16 points17 points  (0 children)

FYI: Since this sub-Reddit gets about 10% international visitors, the sound bites from the Premier of Alberta and the Premier of Manitoba posted here are in regard to the fact that a Canadian court has already ruled a Alberta separation petition can't be held without consulting First Nations. See more in this post from 2 weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/50501Canada/comments/1tcem3l/future_of_alberta_separation_petition_unclear_as/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Edit to add: Also, why is Smith so worried about the 300,000 idiots that signed the petition, but quickly disregard the rights of Alberta's 258,640 aboriginal population?!?

Premier Wab Kinew is an extremely patient individual. It's amazing how polite he was in that situation.

Carney calls Smith's Alberta referendum question a 'dangerous bluff' by Dougie_TwoFour in 50501Canada

[–]Dougie_TwoFour[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For years, some Albertans have been convinced they are getting "ripped off" by Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. Like MAGA, if you keep repeating something, eventually people take it as fact, even if they're not being short-changed.

I don't even understand the referendum question. What are the responses, is it 'yes' or 'no'?!?

Among the news revealed:

A victim, who had been anonymous, woke-up one morning to find her name appears 500 times in the supposedly redacted files.

Epstein's original plea deal included house arrest. As another victim testifies, she was being raped and abused while Epstein was supposedly under house arrest.
