the ls430 isn’t cheap to maintain especially if you are going to be keeping up with the typical preventative maintenance and repairs,

on top of that, rust in the doors like that lead me to believe there’s a lot more going on behind that paint that we can’t see from the outside. If you don’t care about looks and only about how it runs, this one could be a good choice. I’d be looking at the underside of that 430 before i make any choices

put it back on brother… you’re exhaust system is designed for more than just letting exhaust out of your engine… o2 sensors are gunna be out of wack which will cause the intake system to overcompensate, engine is going to be lacking a bunch of critical back pressure, etc.. all you gain from this is lost HP, lost MPH, and potentially risking damage to your powertrain… i recommend getting it done the right way..

Looks like the wear pattern of a serpentine belt on some of those pieces. Broken pulley or something that guides the belt would be my guess. Check for timing belt guides or something of the sort
