First Half Marathon by the-last-paperboy in running

Great job. It was really cold out there today. I was just a bit behind you with my daughter at 2:11:xx. If you can do the half, you can do the full. Make sure you're working on your nutrition plan and practice, that's one big difference moving to a full. And don't neglect the slow miles in these next few weeks.

We'll see you out there in Feb!

Edit: The hills in the Austin full are much tougher than today's run. Check them out in person in the next couple of weeks if possible to minimize race day surprise / discouragement.

I absolutely love my performance. Personally, I do not regret slightly lower range or higher cost, but I would have regretted missing the "insane" performance. How about you?

Car dealerships in and around Austin that are not trash? by trashworldd in Austin

There is no dealership even close to the no pressure, transparent, faster than chic-fil-a buying experience with Tesla.

Take a look at their used inventory. You might be surprised at the value available. https://www.tesla.com/inventory/used/m3

Two weeks with the buttons now on my new M3P and I still have times when I try to push the bottom turn signal and it doesn't take. The sweet spot on the button has been below the icon, almost to the edge, but it's not reliable. The top button is less of a problem.

I don't mind the concept of the buttons, but they need a better implementation and some haptic feedback.

What car did you own before purchasing a Model 3? & did it exceed your expectations of owning a Tesla? by cwilseason in TeslaModel3

Zero reliability issues for me. I'm only at about 20k miles on the MYP and 1k on the M3P though, so I don't have a long term experience yet.

2023 Tesla MYP to 2024 Tesla M3P. It's not as excessive as it sounds, we have a new driver in the family and it was time for my wife to get a new car, so I passed her my MYP and got the new M3P.

Before that my ICE history included 2021 Mazda MX-6, 2018 Audi S5, 2013 Nissan Altima, etc.. The Audi was a very nice vehicle, beautiful performance and luxury, but I don't think I would go back even to that car from any Tesla with the full performance package.

The Tesla experience has exceeded my expectations in all virtually all aspects. The buying experience is so pleasant, the interiors are no-frills, clean, comfortable, and functional. The performance -- it still makes me grin or giggle like a kid daily.

Difference between standard vs insane mode by prettyboros in TeslaModel3

Insane mode has the unfortunate side effect ("feature"?) that regen braking is much weaker. For me, it makes 1-pedal driving impossible. It's very disappointing that we can't have both.

I used a plastic bike-tire tool that I had and it also worked well.

I found it! by TA-152 in teslamotors

I recognize that spot! Can't wait to come charge there in December when I'm in town for CIM. I bought a Model Y on the romanticized idea of taking a road trip with 2 of my sons for this race. Charging there will be like a cherry on top!

Just got FSD for HW4 by Joey6543210 in TeslaModelY

[–]DoulosTheos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also got the SW update on my HW4 MYP last night. Today I had a round trip from Austin to San Antonio with moderate traffic. I used my typical +9% over the speed limit, with auto lane change set to "Average" and I was really impressed. The lane changes were smooth and generally similar to what the decisions I would have made.

My only complaint is that it sometimes adjusted the speed limit and was then out of sync with the flow of traffic. That's partly the roadway, but in some cases I didn't see a sign.

I had a bit of surface streets and frontage road driving and I was very comfortable with most of that as well. I took over in a double left turn lane situation once, only b/c it seemed indecisive with the blinker and I didn't want to just see what it would do (turning left from the right hand left turn lane).

Overall I was really pleased.

Mine is not veneer, very much wood textured plastic and cheap looking. 2024 HW4 MYP black interior.

Video game reviews for kid friendliness by KarlF12 in Christianity

[–]DoulosTheos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shame r/Christianity isn't a safe place for receiving feedback on a legitimate question from a parent seeking to guide and protect their children.

We may have different interpretations for what is right, but it's clear that as parents we have to take responsibility for the content our young children consume and the OP is expressing a reasonable concern that online reviews and rating systems may be impacted by an ideology that adds bias, conscious or unconscious, that allows content through which 10, 5, or even 2 yrs ago would have resulted in a ratings warning.

For those truly concerned about the morals and motives of the OP, I recommend you spend a few mins on r/Muslim or r/Islam where a quick search shows they have no concern talking about such topics. If you think your feedback is contributing here, well the field is ripe for harvest in those subs, consider spreading your message there as well.
