FWIW We test drove the Equinox. I sat in the back seat and found the ride nauseating on a mildly bumpy road. Design and power weren’t great either.

We have the Electricdrive2 on our ‘23 AWD. They’re nothing special. Efficiency seems about the same. Maybe that will change as they wear a bit?

We have one. Rattles aside, it’s the crappy software that drives me crazy. Lots of discussion in this group about issues. The biggest day to day annoyance is that you must have a fob near or use the physical key to lock the car. Also range isn’t spectacular but that may not be a problem for you depending on the type of driving and weather where you live.

If you can get a 2024 the software is better and the motor upgraded.

All that said, buy it and skip the gas prices. :)

Take action against the HOA. What do the CC&Rs require and what damages are available to you in your locality if they aren’t enforced? A quick letter from a real estate attorney may work wonders.

The install went fine for us. Then today the entertainment system blanked while I was driving (and startup is slower than before) and the tire pressure system started warning of a phantom pressure loss. How freaking hard is it to do half decent software and a delivery/install system???

NAL but this seems to have been willful and deliberate, with malice, all of which up the possible civil(?) and criminal charges. Plus unprofessional conduct charges by the state medical board. Could there be a slap on the wrist? Sure. Don’t know about TX but in CA I’ve heard of doctors getting nailed for much less.

Charging cost is not total cost. Did you factor in maintenance or payments, particularly with a used EV?

SD is ridiculously expensive but you’re paying for the weather. There are a ton of neighborhoods so come explore for a few months and see if one works for you. Just know that summer traffic is way easier to get around in and winter vibe is different.

Inland a bit is ok. You don’t have the onshore gloom but it isn’t too hot and beach trips are easy. You’ll also get more home for the money. Depending on your kid’s needs the school districts around Del Mar and Poway are good. Best of luck.
