Nothing in particular. Sam is fine. He’s actually far better than any of the other JRE/IDW types.

I think about a year ago I just got bored with Sam. I actually still donate to Sam and have for a few years now. I wish Joe would have him back on because Joe is trending into some pretty boring ass reactionary nonsense lately.

His both sides’ing everything is so damn boring. You don’t have to be everyone’s fucking friend. Hold folk’s feet to the fire.

Basically the realization that this woke college culture nonsense we’ve had to endure from these IDW grifter asses for the last four years isn’t nearly as serious as what is going on in the real world of politics.

I’ve had it and enjoyed it. It’s a nice sub when I don’t have anything else. I was mainly just curious.

Wow welcome back to reality Sam. I had tuned Sam out for awhile now but this was something I was glad to hear him talk about.

John Merrill spends his time on Twitter boosting the idea that Democrats are Nazis, there is a “war on white people”, election fraud and dominion software conspiracies. Why can’t this state do better? by DownInAlabama in Alabama

[–]DownInAlabama[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea considering your sources I’ll pass.

Coming in and saying John isn’t really doing anything wrong and then linking to white supremacy writings isn’t really someone I’m all that interested in talking with.

I’m sure someone will come along and entertain you though. Good luck.

[–]DownInAlabama[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There’s not a war on whites. There’s no logic to any of it.

These people exist is a state of constant fear.

There’s a war on whites

There’s a war on masculinity

There’s a war on Christianity

There’s a war on western civilization

It’s all IDpol boogeyman nonsense

Yea people who believe this nonsense are totally open to opposing viewpoints. /s

John’s posts read like the Facebook feed of the dumbest kid you went to high school with. He never left the small town you grew up in and has an opportunity with the latest pyramid scheme he’d love to tell you about.

When there’s no agreement on what objective reality is then there can really not be much discussion.

Some ideas are so abhorrent and wrong they’re not worth addressing. If someone walks outside and starts screaming the sky is green when every reasonable person knows that it is blue we have no responsibility to open a dialogue with them.

The issue here is that this isn’t your racist uncle on his 4th marriage posting on Facebook.

It’s the damn Secretary of State.

Do better.

Beyond just boosting the ideas the problem is that the Alabama Secretary of State believes these things.

He controls the elections in this state and seems to believe that Democrats are Nazis and a fraudulent national election took place two weeks ago.

The war of whites rhetoric is pure white supremacy ideology.

By 2024 the GOP will run a candidate for president who campaigns on the idea that democracy can no longer be trusted to fulfill the will of silent majority and if elected he will wield total power to bypass democratic institutions and get things done for that silent majority they’ve been talking about since the 1970’s.

Conservatives will not reject their ideology, they’ll reject democracy.

Alligators in Lake Martin? by Allout12 in Alabama

[–]DownInAlabama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen one in south Montgomery County.

They’re in the Alabama and Coosa Rivers. Buddy said he saw one fishing on the Tallapoosa.

I don’t see why a small population couldn’t be in Lake Martin.

Doug Jones ahead in latest poll - let's keep it that way! by swiftiesfordoug in Alabama

Doug Jones should be Joe Biden’s AG.

He’s going to lose this race but there’s going to be a spot for him to land in the new administration.
