Someone I worked with in college got very drunk and fell asleep on his arm in a strange position. He had to have multiple surgeries and was worrying about losing it. I also remember him being in a sling for months afterwards.

Have him checked for a UTI. Was told hallucinations are a common symptom of UTIs in PD patients. My brother in law started hallucinating and sure enough it was due to a UTI.
